  1. I have non-alcoholic fatty liver disease that was diagnosed in July 2015 which causes elevated enzymes as well.
  2. They did a Serum Iga? In August when I was 100% gluten free my liver enzymes went down a lot. From October until about two weeks ago, I was consuming gluten from a few sources without knowing it. In November the liver enzymes spliked up again. . Not a lot but enough to cause my primary to send me to a GI. So I have been mainly gluten-free since July so that...
  3. I had my GI appointment today with regard to my fatty liver with elevated enzymes. I had to do a lot of blood work for various autoimmune liver diseases. They tested me for Celiac disease too. I'm wondering how conclusive the blood test is ? Based on my symptoms and Mother's history of Celiac and ulcerative colitis they seemed to think I could be Celiac.
  4. Many thanks...I have driven myself inane with googling about the liver enzymes. I was in such a state of panic about it.. Hope to get some answers from the GI Doctor.
  5. Thank you so much. The rash is not eczema a dermatologist ruled it out a few years ago. I have been left with many questions and no answers for a long time now. It's a very weird rash that really only comes around when I'm exposed to gluten. The liver enzymes have plagued me for some years now too. My primary seems certain it is Fatty liver but I'm terrified...
  6. Hi guys...so back in July when I was diagnosed with fatty liver disease I went gluten free. In August my liver enzymes went down a lot. From October up until about two weeks ago, I was ingesting gluten in a spice I was using a lot. I began to get my finger rashes, constipation and extreme anxiety. In November my liver enzynes went up a little. Now I'm only...
  7. Thanks so much ...they were popped out of a tube but burnt a bit and the smoke bothered me. I think I'm freaked out after realizing a product I was using contained gluten. . The only time I felt 100% was living at my mom's who is Celiac and doesn't have a trace of gluten in her house. I'm thinking about transitioning my family to gluten-free. Really depends...
  8. I'm still fairly new to this gluten free lifestyle. I realize times I thought I was gluten free , really wasn't. I'm the only person in my house who is gluten free. My three kids and husband are not. I'm starting to feel like I'm being glutened often. Can using the same pantry, pots and oven cause me to injest gluten? The other day i made my kids biscuits...
  9. My mom has Celiac that caused ulcerative colotis. There are so many great gluten free foods now that's it's not so bad ! She makes stuffing , corn breads and has waffles. I stay away from grains for weight control but gluten free is not the worst anymore. I hope we both find answers and find peace with the answers.
  10. You have just made me feel infinitely better. I'm thinking life long steroids, transplant ..all of this started a few years back when I began tapering off benzodiazpines (Klonopin) after being on it for over 8 years. I was put on it after a gallbladder removal that had complications. I threw a very high liver enzyme once (after drinking ) but then they went...
  11. Thank you so much for saying that. It is one of the liver diseases im afraid of. .
  12. Thanks for the input. Now I have the fatty liver added and that raises the numbers on its own. In June on gluten ALT was 310 AST 200, August on the fatty liver no gluten diet dropped to 120, 80. A few weeks ago after the gluten incident they went up to 180,160. I'm just scared , I have read a lot about autoimmune hepatitis and other liver diseases.
  13. My ALT and AST went up by 60 points. My other liver functions are normal.
  14. Thank you so much ...I was on medication for anxiety and panic most of my adult life. I tapered off it over the past two years and cutting down on gluten was the only thing that stopped the panic attacks. I have been a wreck since the glutening and bad blood test results. I appreciate the support.
  15. I haven't posted here in a while. In July 2015 I was diagnosed with fatty liver disease after high liver enzymes. I went on a low carb, gluten free diet. In August 2015 after only 3 weeks on the diet my liver enzymes dropped by half. I continued on , losing weight. I have lost a total of 50lbs since September. In November I was visiting family , my aunt...
