  1. Thank you for your response, that is really good to know. We came home from a b-day party on Saturday and both of my children (4 and 20 months) came down with a low-grade fever and I had a migraine. They both have celiac disease and I eat gluten-free as well. I thought this might be a response to getting something. Thanks!! Shannon
  2. Hi! I am curious if any of your children get a fever (slight or higher) when they have been glutened? Thanks!!
  3. Hi! I just came across your post. I would recommend you go to the Parents of Children and Babies Message Board here on Celiac.com, it is great to talk with other parents about your concerns, questions, etc. My husband and I have two small children and they have both been diagnosed with celiac disease through biopsy. Our oldest is now 4.5 and she was...
  4. I was thinking of posting this same question earlier today. Both of my children have been diagnosed with celiac disease through biopsy and we are very strict with their diet. I have recently started eating Gluten Free as well. I do not have any glaring symptoms but it doesn't hurt to eat the same way they do. Anyhow, we went to a birthday party for my...
  5. Our daughter is IgA deficient so her blood tests came back negative. She did go through the biopsy for diagnosis but we found out how severe her celiac disease was by having the biopsy done. I know the biopsy is not for everyone, but for a kid, I think it is easier to explain to them that they have this disease and they HAVE to eat gluten-free rather than...
  6. Our daughter went through everything described above. She was about 2 1/2 at the time and have several symptoms that no doctor could identify....most obvious was her large round belly and her skinny arms and legs. I got as far as 3T clothes and then started working backwards and by the time she was 3 years old, she was back in her 18 month clothing. She...
  7. Shannon- Thank you for what you said about Ella, that is exactly what I am thinking with our daughter, Peyton. I do forget how big her stomach was before eating gluten-free was and while I am sure it is improving and is smaller than it was, it is hard to see every day! Good luck to you and your family! Shannon
  8. We were wondering if it was milk-related so I took her off for a few weeks but maybe that was not long enough. She is currently taking a multi-vitamin, she has been on it since July as well.
  9. I forgot to mention that my daughter is 3-years old.
  10. My daughter was diagnosed in July 2005 with celiac disease. It was truly a wonderful day when we finally found out what was wrong with her. Since July we have done a lot of research, met with support groups, etc. and have found that our daughter truly had the classic child symptoms of celiac disease. Diarrhea, vomiting, behavioral problems, weight loss...
