  3. An emerging medical concept in the past 10 years is Mast Cell Activation Syndrome. Mast cells are part of the immune system and react to Ig antibodies, and new mast cell research may start to tie together all the wide ranging symptoms that seem to resolve when on a gluten free diet.
  4. I recently had a celiac genetic test done by Life Extension, and the results came back as: DQB1*02, DQB1*03 DQA1*05, DQA1*05 So I apparently have the infamous DQ2.5 (DQA1*05/DQB1*02 combo).
