    ARCHIVED Deli Meat

Hello all, I have felt like junk for the last couple days which I had attributed to eating more carbs than I'm use to. Just really rotten and irritable, maybe a little wack of the hypoglycemia. But... I have been eating Just Roast Beef from Wegmans a grocery store. Its suppose to be pure beef and I believe them. What I never thought...
  2. I also brux. Grind really bad. Sucks... Well I don't have insurance so I use Doctor's mouthguards that are sold in grocery stores. They cost like twenty dollars. There pretty good and they are nice and small just like the real dental one I had made up a long time ago. I also don't think Celiac causes bruxism, but I bet there is a high degree of...
  3. I highly recommend checking out Tamir Katz's website Open Original Shared Link He's got a really cheap book for sale that is really informative. It talks about being underweight also. Basically you would want to increase your carbohydrate intake with dried fruits and bananas while maintaining a good intake of protein and fat. Oh and I have no...
  4. Thanks everyone for your replies!! I don't have kids yet, So it will be convincing the parents and my brother, and then I guess the whole extended spectrum. Of course it would make more sense if my parents got tested and then they would be able to see which family has the DQ2, though my other gene is also linked to gluten sensitivity. But I will...
  5. Hello all, I decided to go with Enterolab for a confirmation of what I knew to be true. I had made an appt with a gastroenterologist early february but couldn't get in for like forever, March 28th. I wasn't planning on staying on gluten for that long so Enterolab to the rescue. Well... Antigliadin IgA was 18 units Antitissue transglutaminase...
  6. Well I made my appt today and it sucks The receptionist said the first available appt for new patients was March 28th This is a lot longer than I wanted to wait, like I was hoping for next week, or even the week after that I guess this means I'm going to have to go without a diagnosis because I just don't see the point in continuing to eat gluten...
  7. Thanks everone for replying My doctor finally forwarded my file to the gasteroenterologist. Which means tomorrow I can schedule my appt. I'll let everyone know how it goes. I think I'll be upfront and basically tell them the truth. That if they can't schedule me in a reasonable amount of time I will probably be gluten free at the time of the biopsy...
  8. I'm going to bump this up as I noticed the book comes out on Tuesday, February 7th
  9. Hey for all those that have been biopsied, How long did it take from initial visit to your gastroenterologist to the actual day of the biopsy? I have been consuming a lot of gluten to try and get a diagnosis, but if the GI doc schedules me for like april or something, I couldn't even come close to eating this way that long. Gluten messes with my GI...
  10. Hi all, This is my first post on the site. I'm trying to figure out a few things. First off is that I suspect I have celiac or atleast gluten sensitivity. After reading books on paleolithic nutrition about a year ago I proceeded on a relatively low gluten diet. The only gluten I got consisted of some beer and chicken wings on the weekends. I felt...
