    After finding that Wellshire Farm nuggets are not exactly gluten-free, I am terrified to feed my son anything else we have! Are there certain brands that are known for being reliably gluten free even when tested? Glutino? Any others? How do we get information about PPM and other testing? Thanks!

    My 7 year old son has developed OCD in the past few months. Coincidentally, we had a scope scheduled for him on Friday to check things out since he has been complaining of stomach aches. He has blunted villi and flattened folds again! He's been gluten-free since 2004 so I am appalled. (I blame the Wellshire Farm nuggets that are NOT actually gluten-free)...

    I am just sick reading this. My 7 year old son just had a scope to check on stomachaches. He's been gluten-free since 2004. He has blunted villi again and flattened folds.     Hi all! I am baking a cake for my son's 5th b-day tomorrow. I found a cake mix that is 123 Gluten Free Chocolate Pound Cake Mix. Looks pretty simple but the directions call for it to be baked in a bundt cake pan. I know my son will reject the bundt idea, he wants a "regular" rectangular cake. Any ideas if I can just make it in a 9 x 13 pan instead?? THANKS...

    I have never considered not putting my son in the school we had planned for him before he was diagnosed. It's the public school in our neighborhood.     Hi Betsy! My son was 3 1/2 when diagnosed. His bloodwork was negative but biopsy was positive. He had severe anemia, lethargy, diarrhea, stomachaches, was irritable and always hungry.     I dont think that getting a blood test is a "horrible" experience. It's unpleasant but if done by an experienced nurse is over quickly. My 4 year old celiac son has had a ton of blood draws and rarely even cries for them. My daughter is tested every year and it's not been bad. Yes, it hurts but it's very necessary, IMO.

    Hi! I always talk to the host and explain the situation, and then ask if it's ok for my son to bring brownies to share. That way they're prepared at home, but he can enjoy the same foods as his friends if they would like one too. I always ask if they have decided on if there will be ice cream and what brand it is.     Yes! This was my son's first issue that started us toward diagnosis. He was severely anemic with little improvement even with 2 times daily iron supplements.

    My son's bloodwork was negative but biopsy was positive. I would say that if your child has positive bloodwork and has been ill and showing symptoms of celiac disease I wouldnt bother with the biospy *unless* you feel you are going to wonder in the future.     Mi-Del has animal crackers and other "kid-type" products that are really good. My son loves sesame rice crackers, they taste salty like a chip!

    The earlier you can get your kdis diagnosed, the easier it will be on everyone to adjust to the new diet. My son was diagnosed at 3 and he does remember fruit loops but besides that, all he can remember is being gluten free!     I just went to the McDonalds website to see what it said there. On their allergen/sensitivites list they didnt have anything indicated for the fries. But, the fries are not on their "gluten free" list. What gives???
