We'll be traveling to Grand Cayman Island with our 10 y/o who is gluten-free. We plan on packing gluten-free non-perishables but wonder if any of the restaurants have gluten-free pizza? Also, do any of the grocery stores carry gluten-free products? I would appreciate any help. Thanks, Carol

Why is it that companies who use barley malt in their cereals and other products do not list gluten as an allergen?

I will now take a stance and get on the phone with them tomorrow and tell them that I will boycott them (I have two boys who love McDonald's - one who is gluten-free) until they change things to make the ingredients to make the fries gluten-free. Perhaps McDonald's were not told or did NOT ask about gluten ingredients. Now that it is a law, the supplier is letting them know that there could be wheat in the products used to make the fries. As I stated above in my post, NOTHING has changed with their ingredients..... McDonald's now has to report if there could be wheat in a product due to the law...

I just got off the phone with McDonald's Corporation. He was kind enough to inform me that their supplier has stated that all of the wheat and dairy proteins have been removed but could contain remnants. I will be making bread more often now that my son is going to school. I have looked at a few stores for a bread slicer, but I cannot find one. Does anyone have any recommendations as to where I can get one where I can adjust and slice difference thicknesses? Thanks.
