So I had my 4 month gluten free endoscope to see how all was healing and I got the official news yesterday that my biopsy shows no signs of Celiac however my blood test came back weak positive this time which is still better than the original strong positive. My Doc says it's good news and that I am showing great results from the Gluten free diet! On...

Hello everyone, so I am a little nervous my 3 year old son has his endoscope on Thursday AM. Lucily he is under the care of Dr.Fusano and the docs at the center for Celiac research. They have come to the conclusion that he is IgA deficiant since his blood work came back with an IgA level of 0 and an IgG level of over 100. Hopefully his endoscope will tell...

ARCHIVED Delicate Question, Women Only
mbg98 replied to taz sharratt's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Feel so strange talking about this but, before bieng diagnosed with Celiac and going Gluten free I had a yeast infection about once a month. I was beginning to think there was something really wrong with me but after going gluten-free for the past 3 months i have not had anymore. -
Okay so I know i was wrong but I had a relapse, after bieng gluten-free for 3 months I ate pizza tonight! It wasn't a moment of weakness just pure stupidity on my part! I wanted it and I ate it (it really wasn't as good as i remember). So far no ill effects other than the brain fog, and idegestion, so now its a wait and run for the bathroom game i guess....

mbg98 replied to Mabc's topic in Gluten-Free Restaurants
The only fast food stuff I am comfortable with so far is Wendys chili and baked potatoes and Chick-filla fries. Still to nervous to order a burger without the bun, but have heard others say they do it, Im afraid of the whole CC thing! -

I read somewhere they are gluten-free and since reading that I have had a bag a day of the peanut M&M's and have had no issues (other than weight gain)! -
Disney was so accomodating to my gluten-free diet last month when we were there. They were truly AMAZING! I could eat in the parks, at a quick service or at a sit down fancy dinner, Disney makes it all about you! We loved it so much we bought in to the Disney Vacation Club and will now be going every year even twice a year sometimes. Have a great time!

We went to disney about a month a go, I ate so well! The resteraunts were FANTASTIC! the chefs came out and sat with me and went over my menu options and if I didn't want anything from that menu they would fix me something. I even had great desserts! The chef at our hotel made me a delicious breakfast every morning, he makes the best gluten-free panckaces...

ARCHIVED Help, Just Got The News
mbg98 replied to mbg98's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
What is an Iga deficiency mean? I thought it to be a little wierd that all 3 of our tests came back IgA negative but Ttg positive. I am hoping my kids do not have to go through the endoscopy, it was bad enough making them have there blood taken. -
ARCHIVED Help, Just Got The News
mbg98 replied to mbg98's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
Out of curiosity, does it happen alot that IgA tests are negative and tTg tests are positive? Thats the way mine were and my doctor says the tTg test is more accurate. Anyone else? -
Hello, I am still so upset, I just spoke with my kids doctor to find out there blood test results. Both had normal IgA tests but my oldest son had barley (like 2 points above normal) positive Ttg test (he is 6). So his pediatrician is going to consult with a pediatric Gi doc before he goes gluten-free, Never had any growth issues he has always been on off...

ARCHIVED Salad Dressing
mbg98 replied to mbg98's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
off the subject but what do you normally get to eat when you go to Chick-fil-a, I haven't dared to try resteraunts yet with the exception of Outback. -
hello, Made a great grilled chicken salad for dinner and used my favorite dressing (Kraft three cheese ranch) I am pretty sure it is safe. It did say modified food starch , but I was under the impression that with Kraft they would go into more detail if it did include any wheat products, am i right? What salad dressings does everyone else use?

So i found a recipe on one of the threads that was for bbq shrimp and I am going to make it tonight. I bought Kraft origional BBq sauce but the label only lists vinegar as one of the ingredients. It doesn't specify which type. Does anyone know if it is safe I heard Kraft is good about listing if it has gluten, but just want to double check. Thanks!
