Just wanted to say, have a wonderful time, i just returned from an 11 day Disney world vacation that was wonderful! They make the best gluten-free pancakes ever! I have never eaten so many cheeseburgers and fries in my life. And they even sell gluten-free brownies, rice crispy treats and chocolate chip cookies, i gained 10 lbs! but it was so woth it!!!!!... -

Thanks for all the replies! I am having my surgery as an outpatient, so no worries about hospital food only my husbands cooking! The percocet I took before when I had my gallbladder out and the only reaction i had was it made me very itchy so i had to chase it with benadryl. Which i am not sure, is Benadryl Gluten free? The sedation and anesthesia should...

This type of pump is something new that goes right to the area of surgery and I guess just kind of numbs it. My surgery is the middle of March and as far as the other meds it's this antibiotic Keflex i need to get info on.

Thanks for the reply, I didn't think about it not going into the intestines therefore not an issue, Thanks! Unfortunatly mine is not a self medicating pump, the way I understand it it works similar to a drain, and i will only have it for a few days. Thanks again for the info, very helpful and reasurring!

just bought bags of the GV semi sweet choc. chips and mine ARE marked as gluten-free, it is in small letters a few lines down from the ingredients list. hope this helps! -

Sorry can't help you with the meds but the Halls cough drops, the way I understand it is that only the sugar free are Gluten free. I buy the sugar free black cherry and have no problem. Good luck! -

I have them both and love them! I use the one on my PDA the most but the one on my computer has an ingredients checker on it that I love, so when in doubt I type in the ingredient i am questioning and as long as its in there data base i get an answere. It is so helpful!!! -

If you are close to Baltimore then I would recommend going to Wegmans grocery store they have a bunch of gluten-free foods. They label their store brand VERY clearly so I buy a ton of Salad dressings and marinades there! -
I'M with HEZ on this one I also think it was cornstarch. It was good I ate there about a week ago but I do have to say it was definatly spicy!!

We are going to Disney for a family trip and I want to make sure I have all my bases covered. Am I right that Immodum caplets, Gas-X and advil are gluten-free. I am a little nervous about the plane ride due to off and on weird stomach issues, sometimes you just can't conrol when you have to go! Thanks for the help!

Thank you! I finally got answeres from the GI specialist today. From what I was told that in my sons case he has an abundance of "eos" in his esaphagus and they were patchy through out. She said that either he has a minor case of EE or they caught it in the beginning stages and is going to progress if we don't find the allergen. I was also told that in... -

So my son had his allergy appt. today and was tested for a bunch of foods doing the scratch test all of which came back negative, next step is in two weeks he will have the patch tests done and see what happens. While we were in the allergist office his GI specialist( the nurse in the office) returned my call and said that he does have EE but only in patches... -

Sorry, we were told his RAST test tested for the 7 major allergens and that they are not always very acurate, we may have to incorporate the elimination diet and also see an allergist, that was before the test came back negative then we were told to keep on the prevacid which he has now been taking for 2 months and were told we should see results in 2 weeks...
