  1. Happy birthday and may God bless you today!

  2. I can only think that you must be sensitive to the acid for some reason. I've been eating more fruit than noraml recently and I developed a huge canker sore on my tongue. Now I've cut down again, it's gone!
  3. Wow! I know that too much fruit in one go makes me a bit queasy. Apples are known to have a slight laxative effect. You could be reacting to malic acid as has been suggested. I like apples but they irritate the inside of my mouth sometimes. Are you sure there was nothing else in the equation? Fruit doesn't sit well on top of a meal. Recipe for gas...
  4. Thanks for the help guys! I ended up just eating a little very plain food for a couple of days and drinking a lot of water. Think I'm over it now. Yeah, the symptoms people present with seem so varied. I never had dermatitis, just chronic D and brain fog. For me, the worst thing is always the mental confusion. Sometimes I don't feel safe crosing...
  5. Thank you! I'll see if I can get hold of some. Take care. X
  6. Ms Sillyak: What's pedilyte? I had to google it. Is it something to do with infants, something meant to help babies? (I'm in Britain- never heard of it). Thanks for the advice, though. It's very welcome! X
  7. Ooooh! Good point!! Think I'll try fibre as suggested.
  8. Thank you both! I wasn't sure red bull was gluten-free, I'll try some. I might mention those drugs to my doctor when I next see him. I've heard a lot about ginger. That's an old Indian remedy for an upset stomach. I'll have a go.
  9. Hi fairydust/Celia! You sound like a sweetheart I think you have a point. Sometimes, a positive mental attitude is our only defense. You deal with it as best you can. Milton wrote, "The mind is it's own place and of itself can make a Heaven of Hell.." I think I'm quite an intuitive person. Maybe I'm flattering myself but I'd like to think...
  10. Hey, don't this'll be as fun as my other topic! I've managed to eat some gluten (yet again!) within the last 48 hours. I've had minimal D but quite a lot of gas/bloating/funny noises in my tummy and I'm brain-fogged and down. I was wondering if any of you know of any helpful action to take rather than just waiting to get over it? I've taken vitamins...
  11. I'm so sorry, Lynne. I really hope you find fulfillment in whatever works out. You're a valued mamber of this site. You've made me laugh! We all are physically affected by this disease, to whatever extreme. If nothing else, it's taught me that the mind is more powerful than the body. Being able to relate to others and experience empathy and appreciate...
  12. That's funny you should mention noodles! I've ofter thought gluten makes me smell like a mixture of burnt toast and Chinese food. Must take extra, extra care in the future!! Why isn't this mentioned as a symptom?
  13. He also had a peculiar smell about him back then.I can only describe it as an 'ill' smell.'Not well smell!!'
  14. Thanks for your response. Maybe the gluten just gets us so run down that something like that can happen!
  15. Hi Guys, I'm new here. I apologise if this subject has been discussed before, I've read through the older posts and can't find mention of it. I was diagnosed with celiac (through bloodtesting and endoscopy) about 3 and a half years ago at the age of 17, and since then have gradually got my health pulled together after years of feeling terrible with...
