  1. If you're acne doesn't improve within 3 months of gluten-free dieting, then chances are something else is causing it. For some it's milk, for some it's sugar (which usually isn't the case, more like a noceblo effect), and others it's soy. Just try it out and see what's best.

For me, peanuts causes an unsightly, but non-life threatening and non-serious, rash. I can consume a few peanuts without harm, mostly non processed peanuts, but my body barely reacts to it...

I've been checking on my vitamins and such and foods and they are all gluten free (I emailed the manufacturers to make sure). The only thing is that my mother just doesn't understand. She thinks you should eat more of it to outgorw it. Even my eyes roll on top of rolling my own...

  13. Will 40 grams of gluten affect the same person just as .5g would? I know there are some people who are severely allergic to peanuts and can actually die to some who have mild skin reactions...but is this true for gluten?
  14. I asked the same question...GNC lists no gluten, no corn, no soy, no dairy, etc. GNC's prices are MUCH higher, but it's worth it if Swanson isn't telling the truth...especially since their prices are very low (and wheat is very inexpensive).
  15. I've been off gluten, AFAIK, for about 3 weeks now. How long does it take to be relieved of symptoms?
  16. How fast did it take for you guys to get results? I'm taking some right now that are gluten-free (namely those without the malt diastase). They seem to help with my blood sugar a little though.

  18. Not sure if I remember correctly, but I think if both parents have the gene then the child is UNLIKELY to get it. It's better to be heterozygous for the celiac disease (one active, one non-active) as opposed to homozygous for no celiac (one non-active, one non-active). I don't rmemeber the science of it, but this is so no environmental triggers can activate...

  20. Did you eventually feel better though? Mentally that is. I know I would have to stick this out for at least a month (possibly more), but hearing signs of improvement is encouraging. I don't think I'm going through any withdrawl symptoms...just a lot of bad health.
  21. Brain fog is, IMO, one of the most serious medical conditions. If you ask me, the most important organ in the body is a tie: brain and heart, with the liver a very close 2nd. But "brain fog" is not a real medical term, it's a "layman" term. People call it ADHD, depression, etc. But this is my 4th day of gluten-free and I don't feel any better.
  22. I want to add that eliminating "sugars" like table sugar or fruit sugar has nothing to do with hypoglycemia if you are still eating other grains like corn and rice or vegetables.
