  1. I have found several websites that offer gluten-free summer camps but only one that has an eggfree camp also. I have one child that is gluten-free and one that is EF. Are there any camps that you recommend? I would like them to be abl to go to a camp with other kids that have the same concerns. If not, they will go to church camp again which will allow them...
  2. My daughter has been gluten-free for 3 years and here are places that we eat and what they offer: Bob Evans - she is able to get grits, eggs, bacon, they subsitute the toast on the kids meal for banana or grits, grilled chicken tenders, salad (w/o dressing & croutons she doesn't like it anyways), turkey with veggies, hot fudge sundae. We bring bread...
  3. Does anyone have any experience with the counter service eateries? We are going for spring break and the list that guest services sent me showed nothing that my 8 year old will eat. They did tell me that I would be able to bring food in for her such as PBJ, chips, cookies. But I don't know that she can live on that for 5 days.
  4. Disney Cruise is great for all kinds of families with and without young kids. The adult area is great we really enjoyed it. The adult area on Castaway Cay looks fantastic (we haven't been able to go because of having kids with us). My daughter was able to get anything she wanted to eat. She would have to order her food for the next day the night before...
  5. The American fast food place at Epcot in World Showcase is great. It is in the American Adventure building, but I can't recall the name. They had hot dogs with buns and Pamelas cc cookies for dessert. The Electric Umbrella in Future World also has a menu. At any of the fast food places they have a special diet folder in each line behind the register....
  6. Glad to hear this! We have only sailed on Disney before and they were awesome. But, I have a ressie for RCL for next March and have been concerned about what they will offer. How were the desserts? Do they have cakes and brownies? My daughter is 7 and looked forward to having desserts just like everyone else had on Disney.
  7. We are visting Lake Tahoe (willing to drive to Carson City, Reno), San Diego, Las Vegas and Disneyland this summer. Any suggestions of places to eat? I am planning Hard Rock in San Diego and Lake Tahoe as we have eaten at this chain before and they are always great (the Las Vegas one is not owned by the chain, so I am not so sure). I think we will be fine...
  8. Does anyone know of any pizza places in South Lake Tahoe, Reno, or Carson City that offer gluten free crusts? Thanks

    ARCHIVED Red Robin

I had seen several posts about Reb Robin on this board so we took our daughter last night. They wer terrible! They manager said that he was not familiar with what they had to offer that was gluten free and that he had heard they were getting a menu in the future but did know what would be on it. They would not bake the fies like most other rests. when the...
  10. Thanks for the comment. I have not gone gluten free in anticipation of possibly needing the test. However, the Dr. asked me, have you gone gluten free to see if that helps your IBS? I said no that I didn't want to have a false celiac test. He said, "oh."
  11. I was diagonsed with IBS 2 years ago. No matter what I eat, I still get sick. However, one item that I have not cut out and have with every meal is gluten. My daughter was diagonsed with celiac disease in December. Today I saw my gastrologist again and explain that my child has been diagnosed and I researched the disease and learned that those with IBS are...
  12. My local Panera manager says that she believes gluten free bread is on the horizon! I certainly hope that this is not a rumor. Let me know if anyone that has a Panera in the area starts seeing gluten-free bread please. I would appreciate it.
  13. Enjoy your trip! We are long time Disney visitors so if you have any general questions about Disney, I am happy to answer as well.
  14. We stayed 1 night at Coronado Springs and 5 nights at OKW (they have kitchens, so we could cook if necessary). We have stayed at the All Star Movies before, which is similiar to Pop Century. I think that you will enjoy it. Have a great time! I also forgot to mention the Boardwalk Bakery. They are located at The Boardwalk. They said that they can make...
  15. We just returned from our first vacation since our daughter has had to start eating gluten free. We visited Universal Orlando and Walt Disney World. I had contacted both resorts in advance and Universal did nothing to help us! Disney was fabulous! Below is a list of where we ate and what they had. Universal Themepark-I asked if they had gluten free pizza...
