ARCHIVED Am I Right To Go Gluten Free With My 11 Month Old?
esthesio-vivi replied to mommymatheny's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
This is a great string to stumble on, both my husband and I are Celiacs and we've just decided to try to get pregnant. The issue of whether or not to expose your baby to gluten has been something I've been wondering about and definitely take seriously. After all we've been through thanks to gluten I wouldn't want to wish it on my worst enemy. Our chances... -
Thank you, we're excited! Here's a pic of christian and I Open Original Shared Link and yes, we're totally aware that if we have kids Celiac disease is almost certain. At least they will be blessed with not having to go through a lifetime of mysterious illness before figuring it out like many Celiacs.

ARCHIVED Allergy Testing: Bioset/electrodermal Screening
esthesio-vivi replied to esthesio-vivi's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
It's quite debatable. My doctor said that having the skin tests done with food is about 25-50% accurate, but the bioSET is 85-90% accurate. "Corn is not unique in this respect since allergy to a number of foods is often overlooked because the standard allergy tests are negative. We have to keep in mind that because of the high incidence of false negative... -

It's great that someone who wasn't even familiar with celiac could look at it that way. About a month ago my family was sitting in Outback and my mother was bemoaning all of our dietary restrictions, as we all have rediculous allergies... and none of them the same. You should see what it's like trying to make dinner for us. I just said to her "it may not... -
ARCHIVED Allergy Testing: Bioset/electrodermal Screening
esthesio-vivi posted a topic in Related Issues & Disorders
I know many celiacs suffer from other food intolerances/sensitivities/allergies. So I'm surprised that I haven't heard mention of BioSET or electrodermal screening once. For the most part I've heard people talk about the elimination diet, as the more conventional tests aren't always sufficient in detecting everything. My family and I have had some good... -
ARCHIVED Candida Overgrowth And Celiac Connection

Die-off seems to last about two weeks for most people... other unpleasent side-effects can linger even longer. The healing process can be a long one. Some Anti-fungals can be hard on the body other ways as well, such as some people have had trouble with their kidneys on Diflucan (how common that is, is arguable though). The only other thing I can think... -

Since I started this post I have done much research, abstained from Gluten, and I've learned alot! The evidence I've found, and my personal results have me convinced that Celiac disease is in fact the real problem. Whole approach forums, which is a candida support forum, has many people asking questions about celiac disease that are going unanswered... -

LATEST UPDATE: sooo.... I went to the Gyno, got a culture and pap done... swore up and down that I had a yeast infection. On Tuesday they called with the results that everything was NORMAL. This is the second time that I have had a culture come back normal. I guess this means that I am not suffering from Candida... what could it be then???? ALLERGIES... -
ARCHIVED Enterolab Results Are Finally In -- It's Finally Hitting Me
esthesio-vivi replied to Aerin328's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
That's right! What a blessing to be with someone that can understand in the truest sense. Yes! Candidiasis has such similar symptoms! I still believe that had it at some point, but I blamed it for all of my health problems for the past three years. I thought I was just cursed with an absurd case. I would get better on the yeast-free diet because I... -

Helena, The link you posted is dead, did you miss some characters from it? Also, I read something in the Yeast Connection today, a quote by Dr. Lloyd Rosenvold (sure the book's a little dated, but still has some great information) "I believe in some cases (maybe even most cases) the presence of celiac sprue, which is secondary to gluten intolerace... -

Just so y'all know, I got my blood tests back. Negative for Diabetes, metabolism/thyroid and other auto-immune deficiencies! The Celiac panel showed a 61 in the IgG, but nothing else. So now I'm a assuming I'm Celiac even though I know the blood test is not conclusive. I've stopped eating all gluten and it seems things are easier to balance. hallelujah... -

This is what the Eye and Ear foundation would say about it: Open Original Shared Link But maybe some ear candling would do you good here's a little info just in case: It is a simple, natural ear-cleaning technique using a hollow cone, which has one end burning, and the other end set at the opening of the ear canal. Smoke travels into the ear... -

chericovenant! Great advice... I feel like I've been so thorough, but I'm learning more and just starting to realize how important all of these elements are. I can't believe how much knowledge it takes to keep systemic Candida under control! I just got my blood taken yesterday to test for Diabetes, among other auto-immune deficiencies, so I suppose I... -

I've found that I cannot tolerate even small amounts of any type of sugar. Even though I've been over the die-off stage for a while, I can barely eat small amounts of fruit without it affecting me. Apparently I've got it pretty bad, but I do eat cranberries quite a bit, and Stevia ALOT which are both surprisingly quite diverse. Fresh or frozen Cranberries... -

The link is to a Candida symptom assessment questionairre. Maybe it'll help you determine if it's what is causing your trouble. Open Original Shared Link And second....to further confuse you.... -

I tried Threelac for a time, and I believed it helped, but once it took care of the worst of the yeast I found that I was reacting badly to the natural citrus flavoring. For once I was wishing it was artificial, as I am allergic to all citrus fruits. I was sad that I couldn't continue with it. I'm still wondering if it exists in some form without the flavoring... -

OMG! thank you all so much for all of this information. It would take me forever to do this much research, and I'm sure if I tried, my eyes would be so glazed over I wouldn't even be able to pick out what would help me. I have been doing research of my own since the start of my troubles, and I have for the most part gotten through the worst of it (Candida... -

I'm an otherwise healthy 24 year old, and I've been suffering with a chronic Candida overgrowth for over a year and a half. At the time of my self-diagnosis I decided I was also allergic to wheat. My health has been in shambles this entire time, but about three weeks ago I decided that I am GLUTEN intolerant/maybe Celiac. Since then have stopped eating... -

I'm Gluten intolerant, and avoid sugar almost completely, including most natural sugars. Thus I turn to STEVIA! This is a challenge, and I'm sick of experimentally converting recipes. Is there anyone out there with some good gluten-free, Stevia-sweet recipes?? OR if you're interested trying a few yourself let me know and I'll share what I have. -
