My story~ have always suffered from dark circles sometimes they would get darker ,which could never be explained. These I figured I'd be doomed with the rest of my life..At age 34 came down with Shingles.Have had trouble with yeast infection, vaginal and skin.

In Jan/09 my health seemed to deteriorate at a rapid rate ,one thing after another searching for answers I began to search the net.I came across this site after almost 4 months of searching,I grateful as I am ,I'm also sad to see so many people suffering for years without even a clue to what is really wrong..The good news is there is hope!

When symptoms started in Jan/09 ,I tried to seek medical help and was told it was Psychosomatic, Basically

it was in my head... go figure.

Symptoms started with general fatigue and maliase ,then skin hurt like I had the flu, easliy fatigued, easily bruising, tingling in hands, feet ,face, legs, bloating after eating ,acid reflex, panic attacks, insomnia, irritability,DX with new optical migraines, chest pain, cramping in hands and feet, muscle spasms random areas, throat pain, trouble swallowing at times, buzzing sensation in body, burning tongue sensation, irregular heart beat, fat pads on fingers wrinkling, increased back pain with no new obvious cause, fullness in ears with fluid retention, unexplained rashes felt like razor burn ,even though I had not shaved in these areas, trouble concentrating, memory problems, dizzy, nausea, eye floaters, brain fog, balance trouble,Fluctuating between severe diarrhea and constipation, left abdominal pain that seemed to be mild and then gets worse.

Since all this started ~I had my blood analysed ,it showed Candida, inflammation, paraites, uric acid, and Dx with Leaky Gut Syndrome, positive ANA with speckled pattern, low Vit D,xray of hand showed subchondral bone cyst,I've become lactose intolerance,Migraines from hell!! and all the above.

I have leaky Gut and Candida, but also feel this may all be due to having Celiac disease,I dont know where to start first ..do I kill the Candida ,to I heal the leaky gut or take care of the possible Celiac???????

Is is possible to take care of all at once?

I'm currenty taking~Priobiotic, Argentyn, Daily Health Vit,Imuzyme,OPC,Selenium,Vit E, colostrum,garlic tabs,vitex,Vit C,And NAC..

Previously was taking fish oil ,essential fatty acids ,MSM with chondrotin and was told not to take these by the Dr who did anaylysed my blood and recommended my current meds..

I've noticed a change ,but seems gradual is this normal? how soon did you start to feel better? Is there anything you woul recommend that Im not taking?

If you can shed some light ,any advice would be appreciated.Trying to get my life back and,its tuff when no one seems to give me a straight answer.

Thank you to all who responds,I appreciate any advice.. Sincerly Tami, dont forget to laugh its better than crying :) [/size]

Hi Tami! I'm 40, female, suffered lifelong allergies and unexplained health issues, most of the same ones you list, including chronic shingles. I endured the many tests and misdiagnoses - yes, I was also told it was psychosomatic, stress, etc. In my 30's, suspecting it was diet-related and with my doctors refusing to food allergy test me again, I started logging symptoms and food intake. Based on my own findings, I did a gluten elimination diet and felt like a new person in 48 hours. Then, about 6 months later, I also had to do dairy elimination and found I was casein-intolerant as well. I eventually convinced the doctors to test again and found one supportive, who confirmed the findings. We also discovered many food allergies in addition. Now, I feel much better than I did most of my life, but still suffer a laundry list of issues. And even the best doctors still leave a lot to do on your own. Unless they suffer themselves, they cannot fully appreciate your situation and provide proper suggestions. I can tell you one thing from experience, a gluten free diet will likely really help you. It cannot hurt. But you have to do it 100% to experience full results. Anything else is like a diabetic that continues to eat sugar - you will suffer. Also, speaking of sugar, reduce it when you eliminate gluten. I got my first yeast infection in my 30's after being without gluten a few months. I learned from a health professional that your body changes in how it handles things after the gluten is gone. Sugar can cause yeast issues in anyone who is gluten intolerant, even children, so they recommend you reduce or eliminate it. Basically, you become more sensitive to it. I actually now also get yeast on my bottom - diaper rash! - when I eat too much sugar. It's terrible to be 40 and have Balmex in your handbag! Anyway, I wish you the best. I recommend getting a little notebook of some sort that is small enough to carry with you and log your symptoms each day with the times you take any meds, supplements, etc. It helps to simplify and get down to minimal on those. Try eliminating one thing at a time and be patient. You can be your won best doctor if you are thorough. Good luck.

Tami, I forgot to mention that eliminating the gluten is a good place to start in reducing your other issues. If you are intolerant to it, gluten causes damage to your body that can lead to these other issues you have. You may see them reduce or eliminate once your diet is gluten free and your body starts to heal. If it is not a gluten issue, it won't hurt you to eliminate it, and you'll know to move on to something else. I was where you are not so long ago - very sick and very sick of everyone doubting me, and got worlds better. They were writing me a Rx for heart meds due to the irregular heart beat. I was actually told my EKG showed a blockage, taht I had lupus, MS, possibly AIDS (due to the chronic shingles), all kinds of things, and they all vanished with the gluten! I was confused and felt medicated all the time (gluten can act as morphine in your brain if you do not tolerate it). I got my life back and you can do it too. Let me know if you need anything! :)
