  1. Sometimes I feel as if I am being crazy caring about anything that could have gluten goes on my body, but I'm wondering about a Korean skincare line called Purito, mainly their sunscreens because they're supposed to be amazing. I emailed their CS and got told that two of their products contained it, but tbh idk if they'd have cross contamination.
  2. Did you ever find a way for Dr Bronner's to not destroy your face? (like a dilution ratio). It's annoying because everyone always tells me "no matter how much you dilute the pH is too high", and the only time I see someone say it's not is when it's the company itself (but they're trying to sell me something) but I'd love a jack of all trades with natural...
  3. I HATE when people do that condescending "YouRe NoT GoInG tO EaT iT" or "It CaNt Be AbSorbEd". If it's ever on my skin, anywhere, I want it to be gluten free. I really want to try La Roche Posay Hydrating facial cleanser but I'm still waiting on an answer. I think I read Desert Essence has a high pH and after the way Dr Bronner's was, I worry it'd destroy...
  4. Yeah, it's annoying how some times good products change! I've used Palmer's body wash and lotion for the past five years but have just wanted a change. Also, used Jack Black for two years but it's not really improved my skin, so I'm looking for improvement there. These "natural" soaps I've tried have either smelled horribly or were drying. Native soap has...
  5. Hey, everyone! What do you guys use as face washes and moisturizers? I've emailed La Roche as well as CeraVe and both have given open ended questions. Also, yes I know I don't eat the soap nor am I worried about skin absorbing it, but things like sweating, touching food after, etc. all can do it and I get sick from trace amounts. I've tried Everyone face...
  6. Thank you guys both for replies Btw! It's just so odd to me how quickly things changed. I got comfortable for a while to the point where I'd eat McAlister's Deli and Chick Fil A (both of the non gluten stuff prepared by people who swore it was separate and in to go boxes and all that jazz, I honestly just got tired of eating alone) but I'd do that probably...
  7. That was a fear of mine (developing something else). Yeah, my initial doctor said he was worried about refractory celiac (I got checked for rashes and told to get a blood sample). I went to the other GI and got the blood work and he recommended a CPT would be probably next (but I got called 3 or so days later with "normal" blood.) So, for now I am kind of...
  8. That's what's weird to me, not too much stress in my life right now. I have been looking for a job doing the in between thing from undergrad to grad because I am wanting benefits to pay for a lot of graduate school and I would say these have been some of the least stressful months of my life. I wouldn't rule it out, but I'd still say this is one of the least...
  9. Yes, I have celiac disease. I was diagnosed by blood test July 2015, which is when I started dieting very strictly (I have read up on this and adamantly avoid every possible way to get it and my doctor said I had no evidence of being exposed this past visit) and July 2017 the colonoscopy confirmed celiac disease (well, the biopsies rather).
  10. Let me start off by saying, for about a year I had a dang near normal life. I went from using imodium quite often and being a hermit at some times, to having no problem being out all day. Last month however, I had a weird thing happen. The night was normal, but I woke up about 3 a.m. with an odd pain. Cramps really bad near my belly button. Somehow went back...
  11. There's a lot of great responses on here. I am sorry about the delay in actually replying, but I sincerely appreciate all responses. I've honestly been debating TRYING to go vegan because of what I have been seeing. Back when I interned with an occupational therapist, she was vegan and extremely fit and healthy to be in her early 60's and same goes for just...

  13. Telecommuting seems like what I may have to do as well. I have actually been researching like crazy about perhaps going into a masters in IT or something similar because I've been told that those careers are great for this kind of problem. Then again, I don't want to be doing something I am not interested in especially since, no matter how unlikely, a "cure...
  14. No way I am stopping now haha! I've dealt with professors treating it as a Hollywood fad and done a ton of work, so I am completing it, just debating where to go from here. I've been totally gluten free (everything from food to shaving cream gets checked) for two years and I am mehhhh. I have my days where I get the cramps and diarrhea, but most days are...
