Probably the best Helminthic Therapy video I've seen

A couple of therapists who use hookworms in their practice and a Crohn's patient talk about their use of hookworms and other helminths. Hookworm treatment is the same for celiacs as it is for Crohn's or any other Inflammatory Bowel Disease condition.

Except the topic of this site is celiac disease...how does the video relate to our topic here?

There is a discussion of celiac disease at 42:56.

I definitely fall into the category of being a celiac who hated being celiac and very much wanted that beer and sandwich. In fact, I just had a couple of regular bread ham sandwiches. Sadly no beer though. Trying to cut down.

I can relate though to those celiacs who said that they would never touch gluten again, hookworms or no. Those memories of past horrible gluten exposures are hard to get over. After my first hookworm inoculation I waited three months before trying a gluten exposure because I was too damn scared.

Has anyone traveled to Italy with a small group.  I’m afraid not being able to eat pizza will ruin the trip for me.

@Theresa C, not sure why you posted this question in Pete Dixon's blog about hook worm therapy for addressing celiac disease. If I were you, I would repost in the actual forum in an appropriate topic area so that your question will get more eyes.

@Theresa C, I was in Italy last year for a family wedding. There were several Coeliac's on the guest list including myself. Never had any issues both days and the second day was a pizza party. The gluten-free pizza was excellent.

Italy is one of the best countries in Europe for Coeliacs. The Coeliac Society of Italy have regional offices and branches ... https://www.celiachia.it/dove-siamo/

You can purchase a temporary 2 week membership of their app to get a list of gluten-free restaurants vetted by the society. https://www.celiachia.it/dieta-senza-glutine/alimentazione-fuori-casa/ricerca-esercizi/

Alternatively, I've read great reports about the Gluten Free Eats section of the Atly app ... https://www.atly.com/gluten-free-eats

Thank you so much for your helpful response! I feel my ch better! By any chance do you know anything about Prague or Croatia?

I'm afraid not. Try the Atly app free trial ... or blog posts by gluten free travellers.
