Completely Confused...

Hello everyone!

I would apprexiate some feedback if anyone has experienced anything similar. I'll try to keep it short :)

7 months ago I went gluten free because I discovered my kidney pains, fatigue, stomach pains, joint pain and all sorts of bad things go away when I am gluten free.

I had my doctor arange an appointment with the specialist but I couldn't get in right away so I saw the specialist 3 days ago.. after being gluten free for approximately 7 months.

He pretty much agreed that it looks like celiac so he scheduled me for blood testing and biopsy and i am supposed to undergo gluten challenge.

I said I'd do it if I can get anything strog enough to help with the pain (my kidney pain is so severe I can't function with inflamation from gluten)

Usually if i get contaminated I react within an hour to four hours and I need up to 2 weeks to come to my senses.

Yesterday I had one anti-inflamatory pill and a slice of bread and I feel normal minus the alight discomfort in the stomach.

I decided to not take the next anti-inflamatory pill and had more bread an hour ago. I don't feel any pain (yet).

I am utterly confused. How can a microscopic contamination incapacitate me and destroy me yet several slices of bread are not causing symptoms ... I have a hard rime believing that one anti-inflamatory I took 19 hours ago is responsible!

(i took Naproxen 500mg ... I know NSAIDs are bad for the stomach and i really never take anything like that but I will gladly take them for a few weeks of the challenge if it means I can go to work and function without brain fog and being weird)

So I guess my confusion is with one pill that is supposed to hold for up to 12 hours I still have no symptoms after 19 hours and a lot of bread YET the microscopic contamination last weekend messed me up pretty bad.

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

This is an older article, but may be helpful.

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
