Sorry for being a bit of a moron about reading labels... I've been not doing so well for the past 6 weeks and it's finally dawned on my that it may be gluten that's causing this. So I'm going to try 2 weeks with zero gluten and see where that gets me. So I'm mourning the loss of my bread right now LOL\

I'm going through my stuff in the house and trying to understand what has gluten and what doesn't. I can't figure out if this protien stuff has it.... I usually mix this with soem spinach, milk, and frozen fruit for a breakfast smoothy.

Could someone please let me know if it's safe for me to use for breakfast? Thanks for any help! (and any tips on how to read labels...)

nope, no gluten in your drink mix - however, if you are sensitive to milk/dairy/casein or soy, that is clearly labeled.  new allergy labeling makes it alot easier to determine if something has wheat or other common offenders in it.  ie:  if it doesn't say 'wheat' in the ingredients but something in the product is derived from wheat, it is supposed to say it at the bottom of the ingredients like this:

contains:  wheat (or eggs, milk, nuts, etc....)

Oh thanks so much! That makes reading labels a lot easier and makes sense. I sure hope it's not a milk and dairy thing. The lack of ice cream may be the end of me!  Luckily my coconut run is gluten safe.

I'll start my morning breakfast smoothies again tomorrow morning :)

I haven't had any tummy cramping or pain so far today so maybe it is a gluten sensitivity. It's going to be an interesting 2 weeks.

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

This is an older article, but may be helpful.

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
