Need Help Asap

1)My 2 yr old just had a positive IgA and IgG, and I want the whole family to go gluten-free.. but first I want to test my other kids to see if they are reacting to gluten. We are going to the dr tomorrow for me to get the other kids tested, and I'm not sure if they should just have the anti-gliadin tests or other tests too.

2)My 2 yr old only had the anti-gliadins tested (she didn't have EmA or anything else)... should I have her tested for EmA too? Will it make a difference that she has been gluten-free since Sunday?

3)The nurse said that insurance might not cover b/c my other kids don't really have symptoms.. she would put "family history" on there and see what happens. I wonder how expensive these tests are? Anybody know?

Hi, I know you are probably looking for a response... hope this helps.

I'm not sure about your insurance, but all the tests for my kids were covered by Harvard Pilgrim (in MA) based on 'family history'.

My kids' blood tests included: IGA, IGG and tTG.

One of my children's blood tests came back positive, and her biopsy was also covered by insurance. I don't know what EMA is...sorry!
