Daughter In Pain

I have a 7 year old daughter that has dealt with recurring headaches, diarhea, and stomach pain her entire life. We are in the military and live abroad in Italy. I have researched her symptoms for years now. I belive this to be her problem, I just have to deal with the military docs here that are so bad we cannot even sue them(I broke my foot in 4 places and they told me I pulled a muscle). Is there any convincing info. out there for me to bring to the docs here to convince them to test her. They have gone as far to thourally check out her brain, but refuse to administer any allergy testing as the Italians have to do it here due to lack of facilities here and it is very expensive.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think Dr. Fasano, who is at the top of celiac disease research works with some folks in Italy. He is at the University of Maryland. You might could look that up and see what is available in Italy.

This is one of the best sites I've found and there are links off of it for symptoms. Open Original Shared Link

I hope that helps. I'll be thinking of you and your little girl.

Thank you that’s really helpful, hopeful won’t have to have a biopsy.

That means the normal range (i.e. not celiac disease) would be a result less than 14.99.  Your result is WAY above that. Some gastroenterologists would diagnose that as celiac disease even without a confirming biopsy because it is more than ten times the top of the normal range.

Hi everyone. Back in 2022 I had blood work drawn for iga ext gliadin. Since then I’ve developed worse stomach issues and all other health issues. My doctor just said cut out gluten. He did no further testing. Please see my test results attached. I just need some direction cause I feel so ill and the stomach pain is becoming worse. Can this test show indications for other gastrointestinal diseases?

Thank you. These were the results TTG ABS NUMERICAL: > 250.0 U/mL [< 14.99]  Really don’t understand the results!

Clearly from what you've said the info on Dailymed is much more up to date than the other site, which hasn't been updated since 2017. The fact that some companies might be repackaging drugs does not mean the info on the ingredients is not correct.
