Kassandra,

It seems like your doctors are chasing down all these little fires while ignoring the raging inferno that's causing them to spring up. Your plan sounds like an effective one, hopefully it will work out!

^_^ to everyone, and a very blessed Thanksgiving!

Sherry, that is so fabulous you have someone cooking for you! Although I really enjoy the cooking part of it just as much as the eating and celebrating :D

So, no more country music. ;)

The good news is, I'm feeling better! .... I'd say 75%.

Well, Julie, I still keep my fingers in it! I'd do more with her but my kitchen is so very tiny it is almost impossible for us to both be in there. Also we get together with a young family who are friends and she is doing some of the cooking too. So, my contribution is to try to make marshmellows today from scratch! We'll put them on the sweet potatoes tomorrow.

Carla, I would be the same way with the country music, and Andrea, the heavy metal too. Also I don't like anything to be too loud.

Carla, whoo hoo on the shorter herx. I have also done very well this week, today is my second day of flagyl and I am fine so far. So that means I will stay on the 3 days off, 4 days on pattern until I check my liver enzymes again.

Well, guys...I am not going to order the humaworm from afar...so I did a little research and decided to try garlic. Here's hoping everyone can stand being around me

What I am doing is crushing a clove and then chopping it, and just swallowing it with water like pills, morning and evening. I am not going to chew this!!!!

My doctor had suggested this anyway awhile back, so I figure it won't hurt to try. I was worried my stomach wouldn't take it but so far so good.

So my mom used some clorox cleaning wipes in the downstairs bathroom, and it is close to the living room...and OMG! I think that stuff is severely toxic for me!! I have a headache, my eyes are burning and I feel yucky! Wow, that's crazy! Does anyone else react to cleaning stuff?

Kassandra

Carla, btw, I meant to say I am glad your herx is shorter than usual. B)

I love garlic so I wouldn't have a problem with it. :P Keep us posted.

Rachel does.

I'd wait until after the tests before taking anything too. Where does the GI come from.

mftnchn Explorer

I am sensitive to cleaners too, but much better than I used to be.

mftnchn Explorer

Donna, I looked for my lyme test results but don't have them here, I guess. I may have them in my file box in the USA. My test was positive for borrelia, babesia, and erlichicea.

What is a mail in program?

It's where you mail your prescription in directly to the insurance company's "pharmacy" and by doing so, you get more pills for your money so to speak. It's either a direct savings of cost for the same amount of pills or more pills for the same money. I'm not sure that all insurance companies have this type of thing though. I have Cigna and they have this program.

Good luck with THAT, lol. Just the idea of it makes my throat burn.

Yes! I'm not sensitive in the same way Rachel is but I can't be around it anymore. While I get some mild immediate reactions like burning eyes and nose, my worst reactiona are almost always delayed.

One of my co-workers was sick and another decided to spray the room with Lysol...I had been out of the room, and when I came back in, I reacted immediately and had to leave again. The wipes aren't as bad for me for some reason.

UPDATE

DNA results in - I am positive for 1 of 2 genetic markers (the lab says that that makes me 14x more likely to have celiac than individuals without)

I got this information via a voice mail message from my GI who also said:

"I wanted to call to give you the test results and so that you don't think that I think you are crazy. I think you should got to BI because they have a world renounce celiac center, and you probably have some IBS/IBD but we can talk about that at your follow-up."

1. WHO THE HELL SAYS SOMETHING LIKE THAT

2. My follow-up is in January, so what am I suppose to do, stew till then?

3. She never mentioned/responded to my call last week about rectal bleeding

I don't think I could hate this woman more, but oh wait, I now do.

I have an appointment with my PC today. It will be a very thankful Thanksgiving if I can get rid of this heart monitor.

I forgot to mention earlier that I had a dream last night that I got layed off at work. :( Not saying my dreams come true or anything though.

Well, hope you get good news about getting rid of the monitor! Yeah, I wouldn't do well waiting until January for a followup, lol, especially with the bleeding! The other stuff...well, at least it's encouraging that she thinks you COULD have celiac and sounds like at least she knows that IBS is caused by SOMETHING, lol.

Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Hope you can get rid of that thing.

Sorry about your doctor experience. It just seems that most don't care, don't know or don't have time for patients anymore.

Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Carla, I would be the same way with the country music, and Andrea, the heavy metal too. Also I don't like anything to be too loud.

Heavy metal is bad, too .... my son has to wear headsets in the house if I'm home .... I don't think what he listens to is heavy metal, but I don't like it either, LOL.

Carla, whoo hoo on the shorter herx. I have also done very well this week, today is my second day of flagyl and I am fine so far. So that means I will stay on the 3 days off, 4 days on pattern until I check my liver enzymes again.

I'm glad it's going well.

I feel about 85% so far today ... and that's conservative ... I'm actually closer to 90%+ ... yesterday I got some body aches late in the day, but otherwise felt good. I went to the gym and my stamina on the elliptical was low, but I feel good otherwise.

I don't know why I feel so much better all of a sudden .... do you think getting rid of the parasites could have taken enough of the load off my immune system that I feel so much better? I know it's also the Tindamax (not while I'm taking it, but afterward) and the bart treatment, but I jumped from about 80% to 90-95% all of a sudden. I also had a fever and felt sick the first day on the Humaworm.

I guess it all adds up. :)

Thanks. :)

The only cleaning stuff that bothers me is the stuff I clean the shower with ... it makes me sneeze .... bleach (clorox wipes included, I would think) also bothers my nose and burns my eyes. But overall, it doesn't make me sick.

Dear Everyone,

I am here! I just have not had the chance to post! My migraines have gotten worse. Those stupid wisdom teeth and molar that is absessed is really causing trouble. I see the dentist in a week. I will respond with my column soon!

Sincerely,

Jin

confusedks Enthusiast

Jin,

I hope you get some answers at the dentist and I hope you start to feel better. :(

Donna,

YAY!!! You're the next for unlovely BM's!

Everyone,

We won't get the results from the Breath test until Monday. The Dr. said that this may be the reason I am so anemic... Although, she said that I don't have anemia because my hemoglobin is "better than yours (meaning my mom's) and mine (the Dr's) combined." She is a $%^&*!!!! I don't like her at all! She said the only way I will start to feel better is if I take the abx...so I am going to. I have started them and probiotics (just a gluten-free, cf, sf, one from Whole Foods).

I am really bummed about Thanksgiving because I won't be able to eat anything! What is everyone going to be eating? I am going to a huge family event with over 20 people, so bringing food will be embarassing (even though that's what I will probably end up doing.) I thought about making a cornish game hen, but I have no energy to cook and I want to stay raw. Anyone have any ideas?? :(

Just a quick fly by

rinne, I take mega doses of fish oils and vitamin D- good stuff! A belated Happy Thanksgiving to you! We have snow too today, stay warm!

Donna, yay on your Humaworm arriving :D Who would have thought this little product would be so exciting

Jin, you take good care of yourself with those migraines. I hope you get some relief soon.

Kassandra, I am not all that familiar with raw cuisine so I don't have any Thanksgiving-ish ideas. Maybe a sprouted nut, seed, and bean mold in the shape of a turkey?? I was thinking mashed cauliflower for potatoes, but you have to steam them first so that wouldn't work.

Really strong smelling synthetic cleaning supplies really bother me, I try to stick with natural things that have citrus in them or lavendar.

Carla, I love when you give your percentages out  80-85-90% is GREAT!!!!!!

melmak, your dr and Kassandra's dr sound similar. That's crazy!

Question: how long it taking from order to arrival of the Humaworm? Thinking about when I should try to get some.

mftnchn Explorer

We're cooking our dinner right now....Happy T to all of you and Rinne, sorry, we noted the Canadian T day but I didn't post. My hubby was born in Canada, and all extended family is there except parents and sister.

mftnchn Explorer

I am sorry about the frustrations with doctors...and wish that you both will feel better soon. Try to keep yourselves focused on yourselves as the decision makers ultimately in charge of your own bodies, with the doctor as a consultant only. It is okay to hear what they say, and it is okay to disagree. I think if you get too tied into knots over their perspectives it will have a negative impact on you....and that is what we all don't want for you.

Jin, so sorry you are feeling so badly. I miss your column! Any detox that will help? Maybe you can try the epsom salt bath??

Carla, that's great news, and encouragement to all of us about how the parasites might be adding to the problem. I'll keep you posted if the garlic does any good.

Wanted to wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving!

Dear Rachel,

Flagyl made me start feeling bad again about this time last year. I had been on the gluten-free diet two months and did well, then it was like being back at square one! Flagyl was something I tolerated before. I do not know what was different this last time. Bacterial dysbiosis, yeast, and Lyme are the most likely possibilities.

Dyes are a problem for me as well. :( I break out in a rash from them. Since I was three years old, there were a lot of things I could no longer use. Mr. Bubble was my favorite bubble bath, but I broke out from it! Food dyes in medicines have always been an issue. Eczema on my hands gets really bad. Winter and fall is when it gets worse.

Having to watch everyone else eat things you cannot definitely is difficult. I hate it, too. Everyone eats in front of you like it is nothing, and sometimes even brags about it! People have a lot of nerve. Snowball cookies sound good, although I do not know what they are!

Oxalates are a big irritant for many systems. People with arthritis seem to do very poorly on a lot of oxalates. I never thought about it much until you mentioned it. I even looked up an oxalate chart! Foods high in oxalates also tend to be high in acid. I bet oxalates mess with your body PH as well.

I am jealous about the Big Macs and fries, too! God, I miss them! They were my favorite! I have never had a massage, but would not mind one. I am pretty sure I would like it!

You probably cannot wait until you see Dr. Amy! Your appointment is December 15th, right? I get my molar out a couple of days before that. I am nervous, but think it will go fine. I have spoken to this oral surgeon before.

Vacation will be wonderful! Do you have any plans? Being lazy is a good idea. Once you go back to work, you have to do things you do not like. Make sure you make the most of it!

Dear Donna,

What did they find at BioSet this time? Did anything change? I am sorry they did not do miasms yet.

I hope they get around to that soon. Meanwhile, I think I will do some research. The new girl sounds really great at massage! I am glad you had a nice one.

You mean you would not do e-coffee even if it was pink? Pink coffee no matter where you put it would be cool! If it had dye, I would just break out in a rash. Stupid dyes! You know they put blue food dye in marshmallows? WTH? They are white, not blue!

Doctor's Data is where my doctor wanted to send my stool testing. It would be $219, and I did not have the money then, nor do I have it now. At least I know it is a good lab. This shows she knows her stuff.

I am curious about bacterial overgrowth besides the yeast in my gut.

LLMDs seem so much better educated on things than mainstream physicians. I was surprised to learn how much they test for and treat. There is also a different approach taken with these doctors. Every system is considered, not just one thing at a time. All systems are connected somehow, and each impacts the others.

My stomach rumbles and gurgles all the time, too. Something is irritating it. The trouble is what? It could be anything. I have way too many possibilities. Only testing can help clear that up.

That is great the baths did not make you shake afterward this time! There is some improvement! I get tired after a shower. I hardly can stand it. Laying on the sofa is normally what I do for a while following a shower.

Chemicals are terrible! Plus, they are everywhere. You cannot escape them. Your reaction to Lysol is a lot like my reaction to some other cleaners. That is interesting you do not react so strongly to the wipes. Maybe it is due to the fact they do not go into the air. At least Bounce is one thing you are not reacting to!

Your Humaworm should be arriving sometime in the next week or two, then! You can get rid of those parasites! Having D all the time is a good sign of that. I know you have suffered with that a lot. Maybe this will fix it.

Garlic is pretty potent. I do not know if I could swallow it in pieces and it not irritate my system. Nothing seems to set well most of the time. You never know how your system will be. Somedays, you can get away with anything.

Dear Carla,

I bet that Big Mac and those fries were so good! I miss them more than anything! They were my favorite treat. I am determined to figure out how to make things that taste just like those that are gluten-free. The yeast complicates matters further for me, but I am sure I can find a way around it.

Your kitchen was hopefully finished today. Ours is a total mess. We might as well be remodeling. I bake, so Thanksgiving is more stressful for me because of that. My brother may or may not come tomorrow, because he has had a nasty cold since Friday.

I am eating healthier than I was. I have cut down the sugar, and am reducing the fat more. My stomach is doing a bit better now. I am so glad that you are feeling so much better since getting those horrible parasites out! I am not surprised at all that so many Americans have them.

I know I eat fruit, and you can bet some worm larvae or something is in there. They eventually grow.

Those things can hatch in your body and just grow! It is scary. I hope I do not have any, but according to what I read, if you have Candida, you have parasites as well.

It is great the Tindamax is not so rough this time. Maybe it was stirring up the parasites last time? That is my best guess. Regardless, those things are nasty to have. They cause all kinds of terrible stuff. I have rumbling in my stomach all the time, so it could still be a possibility.

As far as I know, no one in my family has had parasites. Dad has jungle rot. He got it from my grandfather who caught it from being in the jungle during WWII. It is a fungal infection, though. My mother has had issues with yeast, and was even frozen and burned to get rid of it when she was younger. She is having problems with it again.

My metabolism is not faster from being sick. I wish that were the case. I am not sure, but think it may have slowed some. If I had more energy to exercise, that would help. Getting off of the sofa is a lot of effort sometimes.

Is your father alright? You mentioned he was ill and could not come for Thanksgiving. I hope it is nothing serious. Colds are a major thing right now. Everyone seems to be getting them.

Thank you for the Humaworm link! I would like to read about parasites more. Maybe they will have something I did not know about some I had researched before. Worms are probably the most common. Now I can go right to the page and see what all this supplement kills!

I agree that Kassandra might want to avoid abx. I try to avoid them when possible. They just are not good to take unless it is absolutely necessary. Plus, her reactions are severe. That is not a good thing to chance.

Country and heavy metal are not my types of music for the most part, either. Any noise bothers me anyway. The slightest thing freaks me out. Everything is too loud. I like to listen to music, but the phone ringing or someone dropping something in the other room can really drive me nuts and startle me.

Your herx probably was caused by those worms! Tindamax might have started aggravating them somehow. It is kind of like when people do chelation and then their yeast becomes worse. This is a theory, but it could work. I wonder if I could find more on this?

I will keep your insurance tips in mind. Whenever I do get insurance, I will know how to handle things better that way. There are always loopholes. You just have to be aware of them. Seek and you shall find!

Great Smokies has had a number of people happy with their testing. I do not know a lot of people who were not satisfied with the lab. Thank you for telling its new name. I would not have known it. This is the lab that Dr. Crook recommended who wrote "The Yeast Connection." Doctor's Data seems like a good lab as well.

I had no idea they had so many servants in Mexican households! I figured they did everything themselves.

It is amazing how different some countries are despite how close to the U.S. they are. In Mexico, they consider Americans to be unfriendly because we stand so far apart while speaking to each other. Most Hispanic cultures have similar behaviors.

Dear Kassandra,

You are so welcome for the well-wishes! We know what this is like. Not having support makes everything so difficult. People around you have no clue what you are dealing with. That is why we make sure to let others going through this that we understand.

Your GI doctor is a major doofus! I have gone to so many of them that think they are experts on everything, when they know absolutely nothing! It burns me up when they make us sound neurotic and shrink our health issues to fit into a thimble. They would be moving their butts if it were them or their child suffering. I would not want to trust this idiot.

That is huge about your unsupportive friends making a turnaround! Who would have seen this coming?

Certainly not us! Maybe now they will start to get it. This is a disease, not a weightloss regimen. So many people do not take it seriously as a health matter, but as some trendy way to lose weight.

This iron IV hold up is so annoying! Doctors need to get their buns in gear! What is it with them not having a sense of urgency at all? I get the runaround a lot, too. I am determined that is stopping.

It is good you have worked out a health plan, though. That is smart. I have an attack plan as well. No more sitting and waiting. Idle is fine for a car, but not for a life! I cannot even go do simple things because my health is so poor. It dictates everything, like yours does.

Just because you are a normal height means nothing. I think tom said he is 6'2. That is not short. Yet, he knows for sure he is Celiac. Not everyone fits into that little box.

I would hold off on the abx as well. Right now, I kind of have to be on some. My tooth may be absessed.

The yeast is going to love this! I have to do something until next week, though. On the bright side, maybe it will stir up the Lyme more, so if I get my bloodwork done soon, that will make it show more.

Lyme really does cause a phenomenally large list of issues. I was shocked when I found out all it causes.

I checked off the symptoms from the list Carla posted on the Lyme Thread, and got 53 of the 75 symptoms!

I did not realize I had so many! I thought "OMG! No wonder I feel like crap!"

Let me guess, that cousin is the one you would like to disown? Who does not have one of those relatives?

They think they know everything, don't they? Her mother being ill like that and never treated was an atrocity.

That was so sad she suffered like that.

My mother does not get it, either. She does the exact same thing with me! All of the ups and downs are hard to deal with emotionally. Just when you think she is on your side and wants to help, she goes back to giving you crap. I do not understand your mother's rationale any better than my mother's.

We certainly believe you! Most of us have been in the exact same position, and some of us still are. No one understands what this is like but everyone on here. That is what is so great. When someone on here says they know how you feel, you know they are telling the truth and mean it.

I understand your mother being worried about money. Mine is too, but I find it convenient how she always has the money to go out and eat but not for taking me to the doctor. They probably spend at least $100 per week going out and going to the movies. Yet I am considered ingrateful for all they have done? If it were not for them, I would not have been stuck on pills I did not need. I hope you guys can work things out, I just do not know what the deal is with my insane parental units.

The antibiotics are something I do not tolerate, either. I can have Amoxacillin, Zithromax, Flagyl, and that is about all. I took Erythromyacin when I was a child a lot. Cechlor and sulfa drugs are really hard on me, and so are the Cyclines. You asked why they would give a sedative like Donatol to a child so young. I did not know it was a sedative, but I actually took it for nausea when I was younger.

Cleaners bother me, also. Sometimes I get lightheaded, other times queasy. It varies upon what the cleaner is. Bleach does not agree with a lot of people. Being able to breathe near it is hard. Ventilation plays a role, but only to a point. When you are chemically sensitive, headaches are often triggered on top of sneezing and such.

I hope the dentist figures out something. I am so glad I got a hold of him today! Between the wisdom teeth and the bad molar, things are difficult. I accidentally hit that molar, and one thing is for sure. The nerve is not dead!

Dear Sherry,

Blueberry Apple Pie is something I never have tried. I like them separate, so I can enjoy the flavor of each. I am funny about things like that. I can make a cherry, apple, or pumpkin pie. The pumpkin will be for tomorrow.

Those homemade marshmallows sound good! I always have wanted to try and make those. Maybe sometime soon! We will see! Dad got me some new cookware, and I cannot wait to use it! It is glass.

Your liver enzymes probably are high from the Lamisil. It can do that. Be careful with those anti-fungals.

They can be dangerous. Being on them for long periods of time can cause liver damage.

Parasites are a good possibility for you, it sounds like. Claire had them. She has not posted in an eternity. I wonder where she is? She was like you, where travel brought her to many places that had parasites and exotic bugs. Parasites were difficult to avoid for her as well.

Speaking of amoebas, Mia had one. His name was Gus. I am not sure what happened to him. Maybe he got pulled out. That black walnut extract might have done him in.

Chinese labs are cheap! Here, you may spend $300 on a basic blood panel. The sad part is, that is with insurance in some cases. Thank goodness tests are so inexpensive there. It sounds like a dream come true!

It is a good idea to make sure you are excreting metals before doing stronger chelation. Mobilizing metals is dangerous when excretion is not happening. Redistribution is very dangerous. Let us know when you get some testing done for that. You probably will not get to do that until you go back to the states.

I could not understand Kassandra's mother's logic on this situation, either. My mother has her own fuzzy logic, which only serves to complicated things and drive everyone else crazy. Insanity is not a virtue, but my family has it anyway, and seems proud of it. I often wonder how I could be related to these people by blood. All of these lunatics really do believe they are normal and I am the strange one!

Having someone cook for you must be wonderful! I love to cook, but a lot of times it would be nice to have someone do it for me. When you do not have a lot of energy, having someone else to do the work would be great. Still, I would miss being in the kitchen. Someone for the clean-up would be better, though! I am glad your cook caught on to your dietary needs quickly! Your Thanksgiving will be nice with friends and the food!

Getting used to cooking again might be difficult. It will be like learning how to cook all over again! At least you have done it before. The best thing is doing all of you meals for the week once a week. I am going to do this from now on. That way, I can spend less time cooking and more time doing other things.

Cleaners really are nasty for chemically sensitive people. They are very problematic. Breathing them in can irritate your entire system. Smells sometimes even make my body ache. Do you get like that? Perfumes do this to me, but so can detergents.

I did not ever think of taking garlic that way. Can it be done? My system might not tolerate it. You can use garlic as an enema to flush out parasites. It is in this herb book I have.

I am anxious to hear about your Lyme results. Too bad they are difficult to find right now! Maybe once you return to the states we could see them. Since it has been seven years, that makes it difficult to remember where you put them probably! Things get moved around after a while, and you have to go looking for them. It is that stupid blackhole in the house, again! We have one!

These headaches are so difficult to deal with. You can just walk, slowly turn your head, or anything and the throbbing starts. I could try the epsom salt bath. I just do not like sitting where people's feet have been. I have been doing lemon water for about two weeks now.

Dear Julie,

I have had liver enzyme tests. They were fine, though. Even when my gallbladder was bad, my liver enzymes were okay. That was weird. I expected high enzymes, but they did not show anything out of the ordinary. I was checked for pancreatitis through those tests.

My metabolism seems to have gotten slower as well from being ill. Maybe it is not, but it feels that way.

Having such little energy may be what it really is. I am not sure. All I know is, I am not as thin as I would like to be, and should not have any excess weight on me considering I do not eat that much.

That is interesting what you said about people owning pets ending up with parasites. Our vet said the only way you can get worms from the dog is to eat its stool. I did have to clean up after our pets when they were ill with them, but always washed my hands obsessively. Worms also are unable to survive outside of the host's body for more than a few moments. They pretty much die right away.

We had a rabbit that had a different type of parasite, though. He did not have worms. Digger had a nasty arachnid-like thing called Pastorella in his lung. It later moved into his liver. Eventually, it killed him. He was the sweetest bunny, because he would actually let you flip him over like a baby and hold him!

The stress response to food sounds interesting. I am always stressed, so maybe that is why I react to everything off and on. Do you have a link or anything? I would like to learn more about this. It might help me.

You are right about LLMDs. They do treat more than Lyme. Heavy metals and numerous other issues are also part of their testing and treatment. I was amazed at what all they cover. Considering so many of these things relate to Lyme, it makes sense.

I am going to be cooking tonight, too. I have a lot to do. The cornmeal was made in a facility with wheat, so no dressing right now! :( Talk about a bummer. I was looking forward to that so much!

I read somewhere migraines can cause white matter lesions in the brain! That is so scary! I am afraid of losing my mind from these things. They run on my mother's side. I may just have to get these wisdom teeth out, Lyme or not. I was afraid of cavitations, but I do not know what to do.

Dear Kristina,

I never thought about chocolate being fermented. It was on the list of no-nos for yeast, but I wondered why. Thank you for the info! Now this is making more sense. I always figured it had to do with carbohydrates. I did not realize chocolate was fermented.

I hope you finally got rid of that heart monitor today! That thing has been driving you crazy! It could have been the model for the i-Pod. You never know! Leonardo Da Vinci drafted things like submarines and machines

centuries before they ever existed.

Sorry to hear your lower tract is still doing so poorly. Thank goodness the upper tract has improved. It gives me the most trouble. Your bleeding could be indicative of a lot of things. IBD is a good possibility. Crohn's is another.

The SBBO test sounds much easier than most I had done. I have trouble drinking much as once because I will get sick if I drink more than a little at a time. I mostly sip all day. They wanted me to drink some stuff for an upper GI before, but I just could not do it. You get turned upside-down after that, and you know what would have happened there.

Is it just me, or do nurses and doctors not know how to read? Many I have gone to do the same thing. Instead of a cookie, they call in prescriptions I cannot take. Then they act annoyed when I call them back and have to make them change it. If they would do crap right the first time, this would not happen!

Integrating doctors is a good idea. Kassandra's doctors need to communicate. That is the big block here.

No one contacts anyone. Nobody has a clue what is going on. This will also minimize interactions with supplements and meds. Plus, as you mentioned, the whole body needs cared for, not just some of it.

Those DNA results are quite telling. It appears more likely for you to have Celiac than not. Besides, your antibodies were way too high for someone to not be Celiac. Was it DQ1 and DQ2 you were referring to for the markers? They are the most diagnostic for Celiac, if I recall correctly.

Dear Laura,

We actually would have lost money had we done the mail order prescriptions. It does depend on the plan. Ours would have been more expensive than going to the pharmacy. We could not afford to pay that much at one time. Otherwise, it would have been okay. Some people really save a lot of money if their plan is good, though.

Happy Thanksgiving to you, too! I am thankful for meeting everyone here. Rachelville is the best town! We should have our parade, with the Lyme Tick float on the turkey! It is very fitting.

Dear Andrea,

Enjoy Life Chocolate Chips sound good! It is great you got some! They will be a nice treat for you. You deserve one! Chocolate is always much better than some other things you could treat yourself to.

I was wondering about Donna's BioSet as well. There is a lot needing covered. She had a full glass again this last time. Maybe the miasms will be explored next time. Did she ever get to do foods? I know she was waiting on that before.

Mitch might have reflux due to yeast. It is notorious for causing that. My reflux is often severe, but with the Prilosec being taken twice a day it is usually not an issue. I just wish I had never started taking these pills, because now I cannot stop. There is a rebound effect if you try to not take them.

Maybe Kassandra will get things straightened out soon. She really needs that PICC line. How aggravating that doctors just take their sweet time! People could die before they actually do anything. They sure can send that bill out awful fast, though.

I have no clue where Kassandra's GI is from. All I know is, this doctor is seriously out of reality. The rest of us are with it. Going back on gluten would be awful. Doctors really have no sense, do they?

Money is very prohibiting. We have a huge strain. Dad gets his bonus in January. He did not begin working with this company until July, so he has to wait for his first bonus. They get regular commissions every three months.

I am sorry to hear about your food rut. I am just bored with food right now. I miss pizza. Don't you hate it when you really want something, but cannot have it? Chinese food really is at the top of my list.

Doctors really do not take time for patients. I have noticed this, too. Used to, they would stay with you and answer your questions. Now you are treated as a pest if you want to know anything. They also seem to get the idea that our time is not as important as theirs, by making people wait a ridiculous amount of time in the waiting room.

Dear Patti,

I have gotten lazy about posting as of late. These headaches make it incredibly difficult to get much done. Most of the time, it feels like someone took your skull and bashed it against a car repeatedly. Nothing can be done except taking pain medication. Sinus pills help, but the severity has been really bad lately.

Keeping up is not easy! Just do what you can, when you can! We will be here. I still have not gotten my hair done yet. The headaches have really made that hard to do. Hopefully I will have a good day soon and get it done finally!

Dear Mia,

HSOs are good things to have as part of your supplement regimen! There was an article on them in a magazine some time ago. It might have been Women's World. HCl is what naturopaths put their patients on to get them off of PPIs. I wish I could get off of mine. I refer to my Prilosec as my fire extinguisher.

PPIs have a risk of causing stomach cancer. That is scary enough. Other report said they interfere with nutrient absorption. So, even when you take vitamins, they do not do you any good. I wonder if this is adding to my misery?

Yay! The IVs and chelation went well this time! I am so glad! Glutathione might not agree with you. Everyone has a different reaction to things. What is good for one is bad for another person.

LLMDs sure have a vast array of illnesses they treat. It is really unbelievable. You never would think they know about heavy metals as well. Few mainstream doctors address Lyme, metals, yeast, or parasites. So, even when people do not have Lyme, they are probably better off seeing these physicians instead.

Dear Birdy,

You are right that Kassandra's doctors are neglecting the major issues. There are so many big problems they are missing. You have to have an open mind about things. These doctors do not have one. This fire is raging, and you have to find the spark that started it before the smaller fringe fires can be put out.

Happy Thanksgiving to you, too! Do you have any special plans? I may have to do some of my feast today and the rest later this week. My brother may be up to coming tomorrow, and maybe not. Regardless, I am cooking!

Dear Rinne,

Happy Thanksgiving to you, too! It is belates since yours was actually last month, though. Sorry about that! I did not realize it was so much sooner up in Canada. Have you been able to give up the chocolate yet? I haven't.

Sincerely,

Jin

It's possible he's in the early stages of celiac disease, and it has been caught before villi damage. The blood test results so far do indicate possible celiac disease, as well as his strong family history of celiac disease. If his symptoms get better on a gluten-free diet this would be another strong indication. Personally I think it's definitely better to proceed on the safe side and go gluten-free, rather than to risk severe villi damage and all that comes with it.

For some context: I have type 1 diabetes (T1D) (since 11 years) and celiac disease(since 4 years) For about a year now, I’ve been experiencing permanent floating and undigested stools. I’ve had a pancreas elastase test done. The first result was extremely low at 44, but a second test came back at 236. My doctor said that since one result is normal, it rules out pancreatic insufficiency because, according to them, elastase levels would always stay low if that were the issue. However, could the 236 have been a false result? My doctor also thinks I don’t have pancreatic insufficiency because I’m able to gain weight. I also get hgh injections as my bone age is younger than my real age, this also contributes to weight gain, so I dont know if weight gain can rule out malabsorption. But maybe if I had real malabsorption I wouldnt gain any weight even with hgh? For celiac, I’m on a gluten-free diet, but there might b small cross-contamination from things like pepper labeled as “may contain gluten.” or sausages which dont have gluten ingredient but say may contain. My doctor said that small amounts like this wouldn’t harm me and even mentioned that an occasional small exposure to gluten may not do much damage (which seems questionable since I thought even tiny amounts could be harmful). She also said that when Im older (Im m17) I could try eating small amounts of gluten and do antibody blood tests to see if I can tolerate small amounts or not. For reference, I’m asymptomatic when it comes to celiac, so I have no idea if I’ve been “glutened” or not. My first concerning celiac blood test was semi high IgA, then 3 months later we did a check up and my IgA was high so it was confirmed celiac. Since than I’ve had celiac antibody tests done yearly to see how my diet is going, and they’ve been negative, but I’ve heard those aren’t always reliable. I’ve never had a follow-up endoscopy to confirm healing. I also always kept eating „may contain gluten“ food. (I live in Germany so I dont know if „may contain gluten“ is as risky as in the usa but I suppose both are as risky) These stool issues started around the same time I was doing excessive heavy lifting at the gym. Could stress or lifting have triggered this, or is that less likely since the symptoms persist even after I stopped lifting? Occasionally, I’ll feel very mild stomach discomfort, but it’s rare and not severe. My doctor (also a dietist) said floating, undigested stools could still be “normal,” but that doesn’t seem realistic to me. Could this be impacting my vitamin or protein absorption? I also did a fructose intolerance breath test and had a high baseline of 20 ppm, but it never increased—only decreased over time. I fasted for 12 hours and didn’t eat fructose beforehand, but my stomach didn’t feel completely empty during the test. Could this mean the test was inaccurate? For lactose intolerance, I did the breath test but only fasted 10 hours and had eaten lactose prior because I wasn’t aware of the proper diet restrictions. My results were: 14, 12, 15, 25, 35, 40, 40 ppm—which would be considered positive. But given that I didn’t fast long enough or follow the right diet, could this result be unreliable? Has anyone else dealt with similar symptoms? What ended up being the cause for you? And sorry for the long text!

The Docs' and NP haven't committed to Celiac determination yet but say go gluten-free diet because...  And I have with improved physical results - feeling better; overall functions better, and more energy.  Still 10 pounds down in weight but I still have BMI of ~23.  It's been just over a month now gluten-free diet.  I'm fortunate I get along with diary/milk well and most other foods. I wanted ask about this site's sponsor, gliadin X.  If this is legit, seems like a good product to keep on hand. Though it says it's only a safety for incidental gluten contact - not a substitue for gluten-free diet. What's your input on this? This may be sensitive subject since they're a sponsor. I've used resources here and other sites for information, gluten-free food/product lists. So thank you for all that support. That's it for now - Stay warm...  -2F this morning in Colorado!

I did suffer with gastric symptoms before diagnosis, but got all sorts of weird and wacky symptoms after going gluten free.   Things got much better once my antibodies fell to normal levels, but it took years (please don't panic, many people's go to normal levels relatively quickly when following a gluten-free diet). Causes of the symptoms you mention that I also experienced were iron supplements, a temporary dairy intolerance (this is common in coeliacs and should pass when your gut heals properly), and eating oats, as mentioned above.  Other symptoms I got were musculoskeletal pain after diagnosis, but again, once my coeliac blood tests were normal, I had no more pain. I did notice patterns emerging in foods that I reacted to and learned to steer clear of them, then gradually reintroduced them when my gut healed, such as soya, pure oats and dairy products.    You might like to keep a food diary. Cristiana

Well the conflicting results continue as the biopsy has come back negative. 😵‍💫 Waiting to discuss further but I really don’t know what to think now? Eight biopsy’s were taken from duodenum which surely should be sufficient if it was coeliac?
