Endocsopy ?

Had the endoscopy and the dr. only biopsied the duodenum....is that the typical place to test for celiac?

Yes - that's it. However my doc took only two samples when the protocol when testing for Celiac damage is 6-8 samples. I didn't know this until after my test but both my samples showed Celiac so luckily the docs ignorance didn't matter.

Thanks for your help.

I have no idea how many samples she took, hopefully more than a couple. Have to wait two weeks to get the results in the mail.

No decent doctor is oging to send your results in the mail unless your test comes back negative for Celiac. They should call you either way in my opinion but certainly they should call if it comes back positive. Did you have postive bloodwork for Celiac which led to the biopsy?

      If you have hemorrhoids 1x weekly I don't see how you have time to heal from one episode before you experience another one, unless each one is a very minor event. Have you consulted a physician about your hemorrhoid issue? It's not normal to be having an episode every week unless it is really one episode that is not completely healing between weekly...

      No I haven't had one since 2021. I rarely have more than 1 per week.

      Sorry, I see that now as I reread your original post. You say you have hemorrhoids "only once a week" now. When I develop hemorrhoids, which is once every few years now, it generally takes 3-4 days for healing to take place. So, it doesn't seem like you could have much relief time between episodes if you have them weekly. Have you had a lower GI scoping done...

      Everyday I eat a medium to large apple in the morning and a large banana at night. I eat a cup of oatmeal in the evening. The ezekiel wheat bread I eat has a good amount of fiber. I haven't dealt with constipation for at least a year. Most of the time my feces are soft.
