Easy gluten-free Teriyaki Sauce Recipe

This is a very good/easy teriyaki sauce, i remember somebody asking if there was a gluten-free teriyaki sauce out there...well in the meantime i found this great recipe!

Teriyaki Sauce

1/2 cup cold water

1/2 cup soy sauce

1/3 cup brown sugar

1 clove garlic, minced

2 Tbsp cornstarch

In a small saucepan, mix water, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic and cornstarch together with a wire whisk.

Stir constantly over medium-high heat until thick and bubbly.

Teriyaki Chicken

1 pound chicken breast, cut in 1-inch cubes

2 Tbsp vegetable oil

4 medium carrots

1 onion

1 cup teriyaki sauce

Cook chicken in a large skillet or wok with a small amount of hot vegetable oil or water. Set chicken aside.

Cut carrots and onions. Set aside. Prepare teriyaki sauce. Set aside.

Cook carrots with a little water in covered skillet for 5 minutes. Add onions. Cook uncovered 2 minutes. Add teriyaki sauce and cooked chicken. Heat to warm through.

Serve with 4 cups cooked rice. Serves 4.

Just tagging on....

Here is a recipe for non-corn, non-cooked gluten-free Teriyaki: (store leftovers in frig)

1/2 c gluten-free soy sauce

1/4 c brown sugar

2 Tbsp oil

1/4 tsp fresh ground pepper

1/2 clove garlic

1 tsp dry ginger (or some fresh ginger)

Mix well, letn 20 mins

      Shingles is dormant and related to chicken pox when one has had in the past.Shingles comes out when stress is heightened.I had my 3rd Shingles in 2023.

      Oats naturally contain a protein called avenin, which is similar to the gluten proteins found in wheat, barley, and rye. While avenin is generally considered safe for most people with celiac disease, some individuals, around 5-10% of celiacs, may also have sensitivity to avenin, leading to symptoms similar to gluten exposure. You may fall into this category, and eliminating them is the best way to figure this out. Some people substitute gluten-free quinoa flakes for oats if they want a hot cereal substitute.
