OK the Doc finally faxed over the Lab results and you folks are probably better at reading these than I am so please any thoughts are appriciatied.

The main ones I was concerned with are as followed:

IgA 8

IgG 11

(tTG) IgA 4

With 0 - 19 Units

Negative under 20

Weak Positve 20 -30

Mod to High over 30

Keep in mind I was gluten-free for one week prior to testing.

I'd still like to have the Enterolab test done...what do you guys think?

It appears to me you're negative. I don't think one week being gluten-free is enough to bring what would have been postive tests this low.

The big question is, do you feel better gluten-free?

Can't tell just yet really...but I did eat wheat the other night after my week gluten-free and 4 hours later while sleeping I had a cramp in my stomach, my body temp went way up and I was sweating all over...very strange as this has never happened to me before.

Thank you so much, I feel better now. Dr. Fine did not e-mail me back yet but I really would like to order the test this week.

Thanks, :D

Does anybody know of a guide that ranks reevaluates universities and colleges in terms of their accommodation of celiac disease or food allergies?   Thanks in advance for any leads! Valerie

thank you, i have been doing that the last few weeks and will continue to do so. I had not had my ttg iga checked since I was diagnosed 14 yrs ago so I am not sure if they ever dropped below the 15-20 range.    all my other labs are completely normal but I am concerned that this may be signs of refractor celiac or something else since I'm so careful with gluten-free diet

Around 9% of celiacs cannot tolerate any oats, even gluten-free oats. It might be worth eliminating them for a few months, then get re-tested.

I only eat certifed gluten-free products but a lot of which are processed. Could there be trace gluten in those or is that very unlikely?

For people with celiac disease hidden gluten in their diets is the main cause of elevated Tissue Transglutaminase IgA Antibodies (tTG-IgA), but there are other conditions, including cow's milk/casein intolerance, that can also cause this, and here is an article about the other possible causes (you may want to avoid oats):
