I love St. Ives products and I had to see if my skin problems might be related to the products of thiers that I am using.

I emailed St. Ives yesterday to see if they had a list or some information they could give as to which items contain gluten. I received this email today. So use caution..

Below is a list of St. Ives Products that do contain Gluten:

St Ives Age Defying Hydroxy Cleanser 100118 Wheat Germ Oil

St Ives Collagen & Elastin Extra Relief Lotion 1000305 Wheat Germ Oil

St Ives Collagen Elastin Fragrance Free 100304 Wheat Germ Oil

St Ives Hair Repair Hot Oil 100059 Hyd. Wheat Protein

St Ives Hair Repair Hot Oil Thickening 100059 Hyd. Wheat Protein

St Ives Hair Repair Thickening Shampoo 100156 Hyd. Wheat Protein

St Ives Hot Oil Strengthening 100164 Hyd. Wheat Protein

St Ives No Frizz Serum 100155 Hyd. Wheat Protein

St Ives Nourishing Protective Moisturizer with SPF 15 10013 Wheat Amino Acids

St Ives Peaches & Cream Facial Moisturizer 200350 Wheat Germ Oil

St Ives Skin Zone Thigh Cream Wheat Germ Oil

St Ives Ultra Gentle Apricot Scrub 10502 Hyd. Wheat Protein

St Ives Vitamin E & A Lotion 100082 Wheat Germ Oil

Please let me know, if anyone has different info than what was given to me. Thank you.

Thanks for the list. I had posted one on here a while ago. I have noticed that they have a lot of new products. I have been using the Intensive Healing Lotion and I'm almost out. I haven't seen it in the stores, so I'm wondering if they discontinued it. It has been the only lotion that my body could handle. Do they have any gluten free lotions now?

I use St Ives 24 Hour Moisture lotion. It smells great and hydrates well. It is not on the gluten containing list. So I think that everything that is not listed is gluten-free, but of course it is good to always double check labels.

I know I bought one of St. Ive's body washes and it will be a long time before I trust them again. The minute that soap touched my body, instant burn and I could not get it rinsed off fast enough. They didn't include it on your list. It was one of the liquid soaps that contains "water" in the name, it was a blue bottle and had little moisturizing pearls in the soap--it may have been the "Fresh 2-0" product.

I normally am very good about reading ingredients, yet occasionally, a pretty bottle, or pretty product still catches my eye and the "woo ah" effect kicks in. After 7 years, I still fall for it. Whenever I do check out a new product, if there are any ingredients with hydro............. connected and the word is 20 letters long, I leave collecting dust on the store shelf--it's just not worth the risk for me, nor wasting the money. St. Ives now falls into that category.

I did not know that. Thanks for the info.

      Thank you this really helped.

Okay that is really good to know. So with that being positive and the other being high it makes sense she diagnosed her even without the endoscopy. So glad we caught it early. She had so many symptoms though that to me it was clear something was wrong.   yeah I think we had better test us and the other kids as well.

One doctor suggested it, but then seemed irritated when I asked follow-up questions. Oh well—

@GlorietaKaro, your respiratory reactions to gluten make me wonder if there might also be an allergic (anaphylaxis) component at work here.

Thanks to both of you for your responses!  Sadly, even after several years of very strict gluten avoidance, I remember the symptoms well enough that I am too frightened to risk a gluten challenge— heartbeat and breathing problems are scary— Scott, thank you for the specific information— I will call around in the new year to see if I can find anyone. In the meantime, I will carry on has I have been— it’s working! Thanks also for the validation— sometimes I just feel crushed by disbelief. Not enough to make me eat gluten though—
