Does anyone know if the Dove chocolates that were sold for Christmas, I think the were called Jewels, are ok? I ate one of the Chocolate Cashew Almond ones (green wrapper) and now can't find any info.

Ok, again AFTER I ate one and made myself awful sick, I found the answer. All Dove chocolates are gluten free EXCEPT the "Jewels"

They are mylar wrapped little round chocolates. They came in the following flavors:

Raspberry Truffle (magenta wrapper)

Caramel Espresso (gold wrapper)

Chocolate Mousse Truffle (purple wrapper)

Cashew Almond Crunch (green wrapper) -- this is the one I ate. Very good but NOT worth they misery I am experiencing!

How long will I keep making the same ignorant - eat then look up the info - mistakes? I knew I could have Dove chocolate and someone gave me a few of these in a gift basket and it sat on my counter for weeks and I decide to mindlessly pop it in my mouth!?!?

I know what you mean! I am very well known for eating things I see without even thinking about it. It happened when I was first diagnosed and now that I've been gluten free for over 5 years, I slip up thinking everything is gluten free.

I'm really bad about asking for no croutons on salads. All the salads I eat never have croutons on them so I just forget that other people's do. :) It's a good thing I have my husband to watch out for things like that!

Feel better!

The Lindt (Lindor) dairy-free oat milk truffles are definitely gluten-free, and (last time I checked) so are the white chocolate truffles and the mint chocolate truffles.

I've used magnesium taurinate and magnesium taurate vitamins.  Didn't notice much of a difference when I used them.

More great tips, and a good excuse to shop at M&S and also buy more iced buns!   I wish we had an ASDA near us, as the few times we've been to one their gluten-free pasta range seemed very reasonably priced compared to other shops.  Thanks so much, @Russ H.
