I am in need of a gluten free wedding cake in the atlanta area in July, anyone know of one? I really don't want to have to make my cake myself, but I will if I have to!

I have no idea if they do gluten free, but my SIL ordered a vegan cake from this bakery in Dectaur a couple of months ago for my nephew's birthday party because there were some kids in his class with egg and milk allergies. The cake was delicious. (Was able to try it since I hadn't had my endoscope yet.) They also do wedding cakes, so it might be worth your time to call and ask if they have ever done anything gluten free.

I was just told a baker in downtown Woodstock is willing to make a gluten-free cake.

(My brother recently became engaged, so, I assume we will be shopping for a cake soon enough, too!)

Wow, thanks guys! I googled and searched for hours this week, and had only found one of the sites you suggested! I will let you know what I find out for future reference

Well, I got one response so far... www.metrobakery.com will make a gluten free wedding cake, starting at 5.50 per person... more than I can spend. We are already married, did it alone, this is for the reception celebration. It's not formal, and I just would rather spend the money on something more fun. I found a local bakery that will make me a beautiful gluteny sheet cake for under $100, and I am going to make myself a gluten free cupcake. Thanks for all the help tho guys!

A gluten free bakery just opened up in Sandy Springs called Sally's Bakery. Hope this helps in the future!

When my wife attempted to open the online card in the store with a cashier, it would not work. We then showed the owner the link to the card, the online receipt that I got upon purchase, and even my bank statement confirming the purchase. That did not satisfy her, since she said she needed the link to open to reveal the gift ID num. They even admitted they had a systems problem around that time.

Was the card itself lost or just the record or both?

We were flabergasted that the owner would not acknowledge a $50 e-gift card I purchased for my celiac wife. My wife tried to open it in the store and was informed there had been a system change and they could not find the record. No worries, she was told, just talk to management. Six months later, and numerous absurd back and forths, and the owner literally informs me there have been "bad actors", so she can't make good on this lost gift card. In other words, she accused me of lying and committing fraud... over $50! Please be careful with your orders and purchases here.

Yes, some people do get withdrawal from gluten but gluten withdrawal doesn't usually cause gut pain. Maybe more like general body aches and discomfort. We have articles on gluten withdrawal on this forum. You might do a search for them. Applesauce is very acidic and some brands have added vitamin C (ascorbic acid) which makes them more acidic. This can damage the stomach lining if you eat it too often. Especially if your stomach lining is already compromised. Ibuprofen inhibits the body's ability to rebuild the stomach's protective mucosal lining. That's why it can cause peptic ulcers. As strange as it may sound, low level irritation/inflammation stimulates the body to rebuild the stomach lining. There are two steps in this rebuilding process known as COX 1 and COX 2. Ibuprofen represses both COX 1 and COX 2. Celecoxcib, a prescription anti inflammatory, inhibits only COX 2, making it less likely to cause damage to the gut lining.

Do you or anyone know alot about ibuprofen  I wasn't sure if I was eating too much apple sauce.   Something is making my pain so much worse  I'm referring to the intense pins and needles in my feet and lower legs.  Jaw actually has tardive dystonia and muscle spasms throughout my back Almost like an opposite effect that a pain reliever would do. I'm fairly new to this. Whatever is going on seems to be worsening  Do people get a withdrawal effect from gluten?  It's extremely painful 😖  I'll post that question or research on the site  Thank you everyone for responding
