Allergies To

Sugar

Hey, I was just wondering, because I think sometimes people get misdiagnosed with gluten allergy--(I am talking about allergy, not intolerance)--has it ever occurred to anyone's knowledge that a person is allergic to a protein found only in wheat bran and not the rest of the wheat? I seem to have allergic reactions to whole wheat items but not white flour, and I don't think yeast is the problem because I've had the same reaction to a cold cereal that I'm pretty sure had no yeast in it.

People in general seem to react less to white flour, because it is lower in gluten. But just because you don't have an OBVIOUS reaction to it doesn't mean that it doesn't cause you damage.

30-35 years ago the only product I knew I had a problem with was All-Bran. So I quit eating it and end of problem.

Or so I thought.

Now not only can I not eat any type or form or derivative or amount of wheat, but I cannot eat rice bran, either.

Going on a cruise next week and I’m a celiac. Bought a bottle of GliandinX. Should I just take two tablets per day as a precaution? Never tried this before!! Any help is appreciated!!

Good point, as thyroid conditions are more common in those with celiac disease: https://www.celiac.com/celiac-disease/celiac-disease-amp-related-diseases-and-disorders/thyroid-pancreatic-disorders-and-celiac-disease/
