Going To Doctor Soon, Reckon I Have It?

- Bowel problems, including constipation and bloody stools that have only been getting worse lately, pretty much having them every time I go now. Mostly hard, but sometimes liquid or diarrhea-ish.

- Fatigue, was actually diagnosed with CFS in my teens (am now 20, going on 21)... Took B12 injection which is normally meant to help those with CFS but did NOT help at all.

- Weight loss, over the past few years while I have been eating a bit safer in general, still have lost weight and keep losing it slowly (down at 52-53 kilos)

- Have been increasing my Wheat rate currently and cramps, gas and bloating have gotten worse lately.

- Easy bruising, doctor noted while taking a blood test recently that I bruised very easy, even though it didn't hurt that much then it normally would.

- Muscle weakness, am very weak, have been getting weaker and weaker lately, I feel as if I'm going down a dark hole.

- Stunted growth, don't know, might be just me the genes I ended up getting, but my older sister is the same height as me, as being younger and as a male I'd expect to be at least a bit taller.

- Had stomach/chest trouble before, had to take losac to calm it down.

- Have many genetic troubles with that area, my grandmother just got told she has pancreatic cancer, and will die from it within the next few years.

ATM only doing part time at university because I just don't have the energy levels for full, feel totally weak and feel I have general malnutrition even though I take LOADS of milk, vit C, sunlight, omega 3 tablets every day and eat healthy compared to most people now days.

Anyway, my other question is, if I am stunted in growth, will there be any chance if I do have Celiac that if I do get healthy that I can finish if I haven't? My acne is still noticable, and I hope to get that checked out and get quality help because I have also tried hard on getting that down (anti-b's, loads of diff cream).

Hi there! It sounds like we're in similar positions.

I don't think I've ever heard of someone growing taller in their twenties, but I'm no expert.

I hope you get the answers you need. Have you tried a few weeks without grains or sugar? Many people, myself included, have clearer skin when they avoid foods with a high glycemic load in addition to avoiding foods containing gluten.

I know what you mean about the mysterious lack of energy. When I eat really well and take Omega-IIIs, etc. I still don't seem to be able to be as active as my peers and I get fatigued so quickly. It's frustrating to have a condition that you know is real, but is invisible.

Ya ty for reply, just asking because I've heard maturity doesn't end until mid-20s depending on what is still being matured and who it is, from what I know others can "catch up", depending on the situation.

But I only had this disease mentioned less then a week ago and many of it makes sense in my situation, it answers so many of my problems that I have. And since I'm going to the doctor now, if I stop eating wheat and he tests me, then I failed to get recognised as someone who has it even if I do figure this out for myself, I will end up getting no help for it because it cannot be verified. So that is why I can't stop wheat until I have it confirmed, because they need to see that the damage is actually there.

Oh, yes. I agree with not doing anything to jeopardize the test results. I'm also keeping on with eating gluten until I can get tested, too. I hate how it makes me feel, but I want objective, concrete evidence of what I'm observing.

I have trouble with nausea. It often starts when I’m anxious about something (home repairs, sick dog) but continues long after the home is repaired or the dog is healthy again. When it happens I eat less and lose weight.  My gastroenterologist suggested ginger or peppermint tea. I don’t know if that will work or not because I haven't had the problem since she suggested it.

Hello  I'm not sure what to think . Seems no matter what I do I get sick. I had some yogurt with only 2 grams of sugar and is labeled gluten free ...the strawberry version seemed to really set me off My jaw is burning as well as my stomach and my feet.  Horrible pain..plus acid reflux and nausea... sensitivity to touch pain. ..yikes !! I don't know if it's from the lactose in the yogurt or if I'm getting an ulcer  This condition can make you question yourself quite a bit.  Then if you are not sure the anxiety comes 😞 Does any of these symptoms sound familiar to anyone? The neuropathy is quite intense.  What do you eat or drink after this happens  Open to suggestions  Thank you

Of course my son is on a 100% gluten free diet.  I wish his symptoms were not debilitating as there are right now.  He cannot work, even when a miniscule of cross contamination occurs.  It's not just GI distress, but intense fatigue, brain fog, depression, anxiety, insomnia, etc.  It's literally neurological inflammation.  Not to be taken lightly here.  We have sought out many other possible ways to cope during this window of time (8 months!!!!)  without success.   AN-PEP does not help and seems like studies on this are not well researched.  So, we are trying this out because research shows some promising results.  And, all participants showed no cravings afterwards, no signs of addiction.  The patch is different than the oral route such as smoking, vaping, gum, pouch, etc.

Have you tried AN-PEP enzymes, for example, GlutenX (who is a sponsor here)? A lot of research has shown that it can break down small amounts of gluten in the stomach, before it reaches the intestines. It might be a better approach than risking nicotine addiction, and the questionable research around this. I also hope that he’s trying to be 100% Gluten-Free.

Hi all  I was diagnosed Coeliac a few years ago and follow a gluten free diet. The list of foods that I can eat without a problem grows shorter on a weekly basis. [I also have diabetes and asthma also].  BUT the reason I am posting this is because I seem to struggle with nausea quite a lot, which is really quite debilitating, and I was wondering if others suffer from nausea, even if following a gluten free diet.
