I believe you are able to order any test from their website (Kimball Genetics, Prometheus, and Enterolab), however I have heard that insurance is less likely to cover it if YOU order it yourself. My experience has been such, that my gastroenterologist ordered the test, I called my insurance to find out if they covered it (using the test codes, you can obtain from the company, or your dr. may provide them for you.) I found out that my insurance DID cover it. When I filled out the info sheet for Kimball Genetics to send back with my test, it asks for your insurance info, but also asks for a credit card number to bill in the event that insurance does not cover all of it. I went through Kimball Genetics. My results were then sent back to my dr. who provided me with the outcome. If you order and send in the test youself, then you will recieve the results in just a few days. As far as I know, this cannot be done in any dr's office on the spot - you have to send it out to a lab for results, and the testing 'equipment' is sent from the lab itself which includes paperwork, etc. Hope this helps!

Thank you that’s really helpful, hopeful won’t have to have a biopsy.

That means the normal range (i.e. not celiac disease) would be a result less than 14.99.  Your result is WAY above that. Some gastroenterologists would diagnose that as celiac disease even without a confirming biopsy because it is more than ten times the top of the normal range.

Hi everyone. Back in 2022 I had blood work drawn for iga ext gliadin. Since then I’ve developed worse stomach issues and all other health issues. My doctor just said cut out gluten. He did no further testing. Please see my test results attached. I just need some direction cause I feel so ill and the stomach pain is becoming worse. Can this test show indications for other gastrointestinal diseases?

Thank you. These were the results TTG ABS NUMERICAL: > 250.0 U/mL [< 14.99]  Really don’t understand the results!

Clearly from what you've said the info on Dailymed is much more up to date than the other site, which hasn't been updated since 2017. The fact that some companies might be repackaging drugs does not mean the info on the ingredients is not correct.
