Can I add a question to this? My dd just broke out with a cream from the health food store that she had no problems with before (new jar). Not sure about the ingredient list at this time, could be a new formula or allergic to something else. So I was wondering what she can get from a grocery store that is gluten-free?? Thanks for any input!

I don't have an answer for this, but just curious what you are using cold cream for? I haven't had a need for it since I used stage makeup back when I danced or was on stage in high school. These days, the kids use regular makeup. I think the lighting is so much better than it was in those days, no need for heavy pancake.

What we used was Crisco, or more often than not some store brand or generic equivalent. It melted the makeup off nicely. And if you were me, it caused all sorts of pimples to break out. Not sure if those things are gluten-free, but Spectrum shortening is. I should think plain Coconut Oil would do the same job.

I know this is an old Q but there was no answer and I had been wondering the same thing. I've been using Ponds cold cream and my face has been breaking out and itchy. I'm finally (after 4 months) getting all the gluten out of my diet but I'm still having mostly mild reactions. Anyway, I'm switching cold creams immediately after this response.

Hello Kristi ,

Thank you for contacting us regarding your inquiry on gluten containing ingredients used in our Pond's products.

At this time, we use plant based materials such as starches & wheat protein regularly. We cannot claim that pond's moisturizers and cleansers are gluten free. Ingredients in our products are subject to change. We, therefore, suggest that you contact us regularly to ensure that our claim is still accurate.

For further information, please feel free to contact us at our toll free number 1-800 909-9493.

Thank you.

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

This is an older article, but may be helpful.

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
