CarolX Newbie

This is my bread recipe - it is a quick bread, no yeast.

Preheat to 350

Grease 2 loaf pan

Sift dry ingredients together

Mix wet ingredients

Add to dry and beat for 3 minutes

Pour into loaf pan and smooth top

Bake for 50 minutes

Can you define "package"? Let us know how many ounces are in each bag so that if we want to reproduce it with different brands than the ones you use we will have some hope of success. And do you let it raise before you bake it? What size are the loaf pans? Thanks!

The flours are all 1 pound bags, I believe. I don't have any to refer to right now.

Cornstarch is one pound.

I use the Knox unflavored gelatin that comes in individual packets (32 to a box).

And do you let it raise before you bake it? What size are the loaf pans? Thanks!

It is a quick bread - there is no yeast so it does not need to rise. Any bread loaf pan will work.

Hope that clears it up a bit.

I will have to try this out since I'm desperate for some bread. Have you tried halving the recipe? I just want to try one loaf to see how I like it.

No, but give it a try - I would try using 3 eggs instead of 4.

If you have hemorrhoids 1x weekly I don't see how you have time to heal from one episode before you experience another one, unless each one is a very minor event. Have you consulted a physician about your hemorrhoid issue? It's not normal to be having an episode every week unless it is really one episode that is not completely healing between weekly flareups.

No I haven't had one since 2021. I rarely have more than 1 per week.

Sorry, I see that now as I reread your original post. You say you have hemorrhoids "only once a week" now. When I develop hemorrhoids, which is once every few years now, it generally takes 3-4 days for healing to take place. So, it doesn't seem like you could have much relief time between episodes if you have them weekly. Have you had a lower GI scoping done recently?

Everyday I eat a medium to large apple in the morning and a large banana at night. I eat a cup of oatmeal in the evening. The ezekiel wheat bread I eat has a good amount of fiber. I haven't dealt with constipation for at least a year. Most of the time my feces are soft.
