Before going gluten-free on December 3, 09, I ate out ALLLLL the time! But every time I tried to eat at my usual places, I got glutened (ick!). So now that I'm starting to venture out again, I'm finding some good places that have dedicated gluten-free menu items. And I thought since Orlando is a highly visited area, maybe some of you all might have be able to use the info I'm finding - as well as share your finds.

So I'm going to start posting places as I come across them. Hope you enjoy them too!

A small, eclectic coffee bar/restaurant that specializes in homemade soups. Super yummy gluten-free soups change daily. They usually have around 6 soups... and today 5 of the 6 are gluten-free! They also have three categories of soups: "Vegan, Vegetarian and Meat" They are not your average soups... every one I've ever tried has been SUPER tasty and I've NEVER been glutened here. And they have great coffee and chai...

For an example of the types of soups they have, here are the current selections. Gluten Free has the *

Vegan: *Spicy Bean

*Curried Leek

Vegetarian: *Loaded Baked Potato

*Creamy Tomato Basil

Meat: *Old Fashioned Vegetable Bee

Cream of Shrimp (the only one that's NOT gluten-free)

(I'm actually sitting on one of the mismatched, comfy sofas using their free wi-fi right now! There are also tables.. it's like a little cafe...And I can say that the Loaded Baked Potato soup with a little real bacon on top is ROCKIN'!!)

Yes!! Good gluten-free pizza!! Yeay! I go here like once a week now. It's great food and I've never had any gluten problems here. The menus are VERY easy to navigate and tell what is gluten-free. They detail how they prepare the food to be truly gluten free. They take lots of precautions and I always know I'm safe when eating here.

They also have gluten-free beer (and the liquor store next door sells 6 packs of it!), decent gluten-free brownies, and they can make some appetizers (like the flat bread dippers) gluten free too.

It's located on Sand Lake Road, so it's convenient to the attractions areas.. So if you're visiting and crave some good pizza, check it out!

Our gluten-free friends are always happy to know that they can order almost any topping, excluding only barbeque sauce and sausage.

Oh! They just got gluten free BBQ sauce last month! So now you can get my current fave: BBQ Chicken Pizza.

Oh! That reminds me: on football game days, they have a special - if you buy two large pizzas (big enough for 2-3 adults) you get a third free. So I currently have a whole BBQ Chicken Pizza in my fridge for lunches all this week. Yum!!

      They may want to also eliminate other possible causes for your symptoms/issues and are doing additional tests.  Here is info about blood tests for celiac disease--if positive an endoscopy where biopsies of your intestinal villi are taken to confirm is the typical follow up.

      In the Europe the new protocol for making a celiac disease diagnosis in children is if their tTg-IgA (tissue transglutaminase IgA) levels are 10 times or above the positive level for celiac disease--and you are above that level. According to the latest research, if the blood test results are at certain high levels that range between 5-10 times the reference range for a positive celiac disease diagnosis, it may not be necessary to confirm the results using an endoscopy/biopsy: Blood Test Alone Can Diagnose Celiac Disease in Most Children and Adults TGA-IgA at or Above Five Times Normal Limit in Kids Indicates Celiac Disease in Nearly All Cases No More Biopsies to Diagnose Celiac Disease in Children! May I ask why you've had so many past tTg-IgA tests done, and many of them seem to have been done 3 times during short time intervals?

      @JettaGirl, "Coeliac" is the British spelling of "celiac". Same disease.

      This may sound ridiculous but is this supposed to say Celiacs? I looked up Coeliacs because you never know, there’s a lot of diseases related to a disease that they come up with similar names for. It’s probably meant to say Celiacs but I just wanted to confirm.

      I was told it was to see how much damage has been caused. But just told CT with contrast not any other name for it.
