So I'm new here and I usually HATE posting on forums but I have a question:

About 3 weeks ago I started to feel really sick again after being gluten free for 8 months. Prior to then I had been feeling really really well! I thought maybe I had been glutened. Instead I discovered I had been taking an OTC medication that is gluten free but had been recalled. I immediately stopped taking the medication and contacted my Dr. who told me I would be fine. Brings me to today 3 weeks later and I'm still not feeling well. I have symptoms almost like I have gastritis?? Burning, crampy pain right below my rib cage, gasy, etc. Could the reaction to the recalled medication have irritated my stomach so bad that it cause this kind of flare up?? Since my stomach is already so vulnerable will it just take sometime to go away?? I'm just so confused and I dont know what to think.

I have been very very careful as to what I'm eating and I have started taking a probiotic. Help?????

I would do some testing/ asking - ask your pharmacist (or a couple of them), go on and check on line. But also go to your doctor with your other symptoms... it could be something else entirely.

      If you have hemorrhoids 1x weekly I don't see how you have time to heal from one episode before you experience another one, unless each one is a very minor event. Have you consulted a physician about your hemorrhoid issue? It's not normal to be having an episode every week unless it is really one episode that is not completely healing between weekly...

      No I haven't had one since 2021. I rarely have more than 1 per week.

      Sorry, I see that now as I reread your original post. You say you have hemorrhoids "only once a week" now. When I develop hemorrhoids, which is once every few years now, it generally takes 3-4 days for healing to take place. So, it doesn't seem like you could have much relief time between episodes if you have them weekly. Have you had a lower GI scoping done...

      Everyday I eat a medium to large apple in the morning and a large banana at night. I eat a cup of oatmeal in the evening. The ezekiel wheat bread I eat has a good amount of fiber. I haven't dealt with constipation for at least a year. Most of the time my feces are soft.
