I know this has probably been talked about in previous post. However, I cant seem to find what I'm looking for. I would like to start taking vitamins and I would like to know the best ones to take as a celiac....right now all I'm taking is B12. I'm looking for ones that will help my muscles...which I really think I'm lacking.

I know this has probably been talked about in previous post. However, I cant seem to find what I'm looking for. I would like to start taking vitamins and I would like to know the best ones to take as a celiac....right now all I'm taking is B12. I'm looking for ones that will help my muscles...which I really think I'm lacking.

You could be lacking just about every vitamin and mineral that exists. I take a really good multi vitamin. I take B-complex. And I've read that fat soluable vitamins are a key issue. So maybe take A E D and K. E helps muscles. So many vitamins work together and minerals help certain vitamins etc. For instance: E helps vitamin A and so does Zinc. And E and zinc can be lost from digestion problems. Many symptoms I've had that I thought were just part of life have cleared up from taking high dosages of vitamins (of course you have to be really careful). But I got rid of oily skin, flaky skin, pimples, heart palpitations, a twitch in my eye, an over abundance of ear wax, fatigue, anxiety, dizziness, coordination problems and vertigo. How crazy is that? Oh, and don't forget protein. Protein and good fats will help you with muscles and everything else. It's all connected so it's hard to single out one vitamin without having a chain reaction of needing certain other vitamins. As in, if you take B-12 you could end up being more deficient in certain other b vitamins. So maybe take B-12 plus b-complex to balance it out.

      Welcome to the forum, @yellowstone! The most common ones seem to be dairy (casein), oats, eggs, soy and corn. "Formed" meat products (because of the "meat glue" used to hold their shape) is a problem for some. But it can be almost anything on an individual basis as your sensitivity to rice proves, since rice is uncommonly a "cross reactor" for celiacs. Some celiacs seem to not do well with any cereal grains.

      What foods can trigger a response in people with gluten sensitivity? I've read that there are foods that, although they don't contain gluten, can cause problems for people with gluten sensitivity because they contain proteins similar to gluten that trigger a response in the body. I've seen that other cereals are included: corn, rice... also chicken, casein. I would like to know what other foods can cause this reaction, and if you have more information on the subject, I would like to know about it. Right now, I react very badly to rice and corn. Thank you.

      Shingles is dormant and related to chicken pox when one has had in the past.Shingles comes out when stress is heightened.I had my 3rd Shingles in 2023.
