I seem to be allergic to every food I eat except for meat and veggies (ears itch, dermatitis). I suspect celiac disease, but am not sure. I need help!

WOW! I need the same thing.

I live in the peninsula bay area.

I finally need to go to the doctor.

I am looking under GI in the yellow pages, tonight.

I don't know where to start. I don't even have a regular doctor here as I just moved here.

Can you tell me what became of your search?

I've never been to this clinic, but when I was looking for answers about a rather obscure celiac subject, I emailed a couple of the doctors there in the hopes they might be able to help. They were very polite, helpful, and informative - and this to a total stranger who they've never met and who is not close enough to go to them and give them money as a patient. So at least I can say that they people there seemed very nice.

      I'm 67 and have been celiac for 17yrs. I had cataract surgery and they put a gluten lens in my eye. Through a lot of research, I found out about MMA acrylic...it contains gluten. It took 6 months for me to find a DR that would remove it and replace it with a gluten-free lens . I have lost some vision in that eye because of it . I also go to a prosthodontist instead of a regular dentist because they are specialized. He has made me a night guard and a few retainers with no issues... where my regular dentist didn't care. I have really bad reactions to gluten and I'm extremely sensitive, even to CC. I have done so much research on gluten-free issues because of these Drs that just don't care. Gluten is in almost everything shampoo, lotion, food, spices, acrylic, medication even communion wafers! All of my Drs know and believe me I remind them often.... welcome to my world!

      If this applies geographically, in the U.K., physicians will often declare a diagnosis of celiac disease based on the TTG-IGA antibody blood test alone if the score is 10x normal or greater, which your score is. There is very little chance the endoscopy/biopsy will contradict the antibody blood test.

      What was the reference range for that test? Each lab uses different reference ranges so a raw score like that makes it difficult to comment on. But it looks like a rather large number.

      I have had the tTG-IgA blood test my result are >250.0  I am waiting for the appointment with the gastroenterologist for endoscopy and biopsies.    what are the chances it’s not coeliacs.  waiting and not knowing is so hard. Especially the eating of gluten knowing it may be causing you more harm and coping with the symptoms.
