I get headaches a lot and just plain aspirin doesn't ever help so I take Excedrin Headache a lot. I haven't been able to find much info on this yet. Does anyone know anything about it?

Anyone know about Excedrine Tension Headache?? I have e-mailed the company many times and NEVER get a response back. Maybe if I called I might have better luck. I just can't tell if I am getting a reaction to it or not. I usually do have some tummy discomfort, but it could have been something else I ate. Like yesterday I took some of the Excedrin Tension in the morning. Then I tried Mission corn tortillas (many people here recommend them), but since the tortillas have guar gum and I haven't been able to tolerate that in the past so I usually avoid it, I can't tell if the gas, pain and bloating I had all night was due to the tortillas or the pills... :(

So today I'm not taking any. But the temperature where I live has been over 100 degrees and is possibly going to hit 108 today! Anytime it goes over 100 and I have to go outside I risk getting a migraine. I can usually keep the migraine away by starting the day with some caffeine (and preferably acetominophen). I was told before that the Excedrine Migraine is gluten-free, but I don't take aspirin and find the Tension works just as well. It is the same as the migraine pills minus the aspirin. So if should be gluten-free, right? I just wish the company wouldn't blow me off. It makes me irritable. So does the heat! :rolleyes:

Sorry to ramble on. If anyone can help me, please do. I'm heading off to the community pool with later with 6 kids and 3 adults. Thank God for lifeguards. :D

      Scott I also have different symptoms than most people. It affects me bad. Stomach ache, headache, nauseous, heart racing, whole body shaking, can't walk then my throat starts to close. It attacks my nervous system. The only thing that saves me is a 1/2 of Xanax...it calms down my nervous system

      Scott Adams. I was dealing with a DR that didn't care about me being celiac. I repeatedly told him that I was celiac and is everything gluten-free. He put an acrylic lens from j&j. I called the company to ask about gluten and was told yes that the acrylic they use has gluten....then they back tracked immediately and stopped talking to me. The Dr didn't care that I was having issues. It took me 6 months and a lot of sickness to get it removed.... which can only happen within 6 months. The Dr that took it out said that it was fused and that's why I lost vision. If they would have removed it right away everything would be fine. He put in a silicone one that was gluten-free and I've had no issues at all in the other eye. Do not do acrylic!

      Welcome @Martha Mitchell, I too would like to know more about your prior lenses, and especially about the potential of gluten in lenses. In theory this should not harm most celiacs, as the autoimmune reaction normally begins in the gut, however, in those who are super sensitive or have dermatitis herpetiformis it may be a potential issue.

      It's most likely going to be a celiac disease diagnosis based on your blood test results, but wait for your doctor to give you a green light for going gluten-free, as they may want to do additional testing. This article has some detailed information on how to be 100% gluten-free, so it may be helpful (be sure to also read the comments section.):
