Non-Essential Tremor Related To Celiac?

Recommended Posts

Now that I know I have celiac disease, I am working on my family members to make them aware and hopefully for them to get tested. My oldest daughter has it, and another daughter is intolerant. Looking at others, I can see symptoms in my siblings and mother. My father passed away years ago from cancer, and thinking about his overall health, gluten could have been a culprit.

My mother has a "non-essential tremor." They've ruled out Parkinson's and other causes. I think it's kind of like a diagnosis of IBS. They just aren't sure and she will have to live with it.

After reading about all the neurological manifestations of celiac disease, I am suspicious that there might be a connection. Does anyone know if there is a relationship with the tremor?
