Hi everyone,

I am going to Dodger Stadium tonight and would love to eat some ice cream. I heard they have a Dippin Dots and was wondering if anyone knew whether they were gluten-free. I am having no luck looking on my own.

Thanks for the help!

I hope you enjoyed the game. My husband and son went to a local minor league stadium and tried finding out from the vendor on site. My husband looked for the basic wheat, rye, barley, flour ingredients but at the time he's wasn't so experienced with all the other hidden ingredients. I don't think there was anything obvious. They're going to another game on Friday so I would love to have confirmation that all is OK. Christy ;)

Since I am at work right now, I cannot get to my files to quote a source, but I do have information stating that most flavors are gluten free, the obvious such as cookies n' cream are not. The ingredients of each are listed on their website also.

Thanks for the help. I had a great time at the game but ended up eating safe stuff like peanuts and popcorn. Maybe next time i go, i will be a little more adventurous.

Wasn't thinking! Thanks for reminding me to check websites. I went and checked and the ice cream dippin dots appear gluten-free and best news for me.. they listed carbohydrates too so we can eat with confidence since my son is diabetic as well.

Thanks Scott. They are gluten-free but cross contaminated.

Hi there @MCAyr I have a small umbilical hernia which came about during my second pregnancy.   I can just about see it, and feel it, when I stand or sit, but it is far less noticeable when I lie down.  I always know when I am putting on weight because I can get pain and burning near the site, funnily enough not on the hernia itself but either side!  I would imagine bloating could cause the same effect as weight gain. In my case I don't think it is my bowel protruding but a bit of fat  - sorry,  I realise this isn't painting a very pretty picture.  But in truth it is scarcely noticeable.  It has never really got bigger in size. I was rather hoping that it could be operated on but here in the UK they don't seem to operate on every hernia anymore.  My GP isn't remotely worried about it. In a way, I should be thankful - it is like an early warning system that I need to go on a diet! Cristiana

The hernia description would likely be unrelated to celiac disease, but you'd need to get it checked out by your doctor to be sure it's a hernia.
