Are their "hot dogs on a stick" gluten free???? :( They have no info on the web site and they were closed when I tried to call. Do you know if the hot dogs are gluten-free too?

I also tried using the "search" feature on this site but no luck finding anything.

Any help would be great!!!! :D

Who's hot dog on a stick? A number of hot dogs are gluten-free, namely I buy Oscar Meyer all beef. But a lot of other ones are. Oscer meyer are fairly high end for me too... I am usually the "cheaper the better" kind of guy. I'm not into the fancy natural casing ones or anything. I want em nice and cheap with scary bits inside(just so its not gluten) :>

Hot dog on a stick is a "corn dog" fast food place here in California. They serve basiclly corn dogs, cheese dogs and french fries and lemonade...that is it! I just wondered if anyone knew....I will try the resturant again...maybe they will pick up this time....

I highly doubt that they are gluten-free. How they describe their "Party Batter" doesn't sound very safe. Maybe e-mail them and ask.

I just found this on their web site:

PARTY BATTER (WHICH ALL OUR STICK PRODUCTS ARE DIPPED IN)

Bleached wheat flour (enriched with niacin, iron, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), corn meal, sugar, non-fat milk solids, rice flour, dextrose, egg yolk solids, sodium phosphate, salt, sodium bicarbonate.

So, they are definitely NOT gluten-free. Sorry!! :(

      They may want to also eliminate other possible causes for your symptoms/issues and are doing additional tests.  Here is info about blood tests for celiac disease--if positive an endoscopy where biopsies of your intestinal villi are taken to confirm is the typical follow up.

      In the Europe the new protocol for making a celiac disease diagnosis in children is if their tTg-IgA (tissue transglutaminase IgA) levels are 10 times or above the positive level for celiac disease--and you are above that level. According to the latest research, if the blood test results are at certain high levels that range between 5-10 times the reference range for a positive celiac disease diagnosis, it may not be necessary to confirm the results using an endoscopy/biopsy: Blood Test Alone Can Diagnose Celiac Disease in Most Children and Adults TGA-IgA at or Above Five Times Normal Limit in Kids Indicates Celiac Disease in Nearly All Cases No More Biopsies to Diagnose Celiac Disease in Children! May I ask why you've had so many past tTg-IgA tests done, and many of them seem to have been done 3 times during short time intervals?

      This may sound ridiculous but is this supposed to say Celiacs? I looked up Coeliacs because you never know, there’s a lot of diseases related to a disease that they come up with similar names for. It’s probably meant to say Celiacs but I just wanted to confirm.

      I was told it was to see how much damage has been caused. But just told CT with contrast not any other name for it.
