Anyone in Toronto/GTA want to meet up and talk about this disease. Im 25 and since I have been seld dx, i've met two people who have it. Its been very inspiring listening to them talk and tell me about their history and current dealings.

Hi Andrew

sorry your post was neglected for so long. I don't come in here very often.

But I live in Toronto, and have Celiac, and have survived the bumpy road for 3 years so far.

Not sure about a larger support group here in Tdot. Allegedly there's a chapter of the Canadian Celiac Association, but I don't know much about their activities.

If you want any Toronto-specific suggestions I'd be happy to offer what I can. If you want to meet someone and rant face to face (Celiacs love to rant about this stuff. I know I do), send me a private message and we can maybe work something out.

In the meantime, I hope you're doing well on the gluten-free road.

Take advantage of this forum. It has wonderful people with invaluable advice. I don't know what I'd do without it.

      If you have hemorrhoids 1x weekly I don't see how you have time to heal from one episode before you experience another one, unless each one is a very minor event. Have you consulted a physician about your hemorrhoid issue? It's not normal to be having an episode every week unless it is really one episode that is not completely healing between weekly...

      No I haven't had one since 2021. I rarely have more than 1 per week.

      Sorry, I see that now as I reread your original post. You say you have hemorrhoids "only once a week" now. When I develop hemorrhoids, which is once every few years now, it generally takes 3-4 days for healing to take place. So, it doesn't seem like you could have much relief time between episodes if you have them weekly. Have you had a lower GI scoping done...

      Everyday I eat a medium to large apple in the morning and a large banana at night. I eat a cup of oatmeal in the evening. The ezekiel wheat bread I eat has a good amount of fiber. I haven't dealt with constipation for at least a year. Most of the time my feces are soft.
