About Me

  1. We went with EVO, we wanted something healthy as well as gluten free. It is a huge deal in our home since I have a nosy and sensitive two year old Celiac.
  2. My son reacted with violet vomiting when he was an infant, he started at 5 mo. Sounds like mom knows best!
  3. We need a gluten free cat food, please help me, also gluten free cat treats.
  4. California Baby
  5. What behavioral symptoms do you see in your child with Celiac? My son has always become irritable with exposure to gluten, but with this last exposure it has been horrible! He is irritable, defient, mean, whinny, tired but won't sleep. I know he's 2, but he is a very sweet cooperative boy most of the time, this is just awful. Since we haven't...
  6. I really applicate all the replies. We went 5 mo with no reactions! But then a reaction happens and I get worried and start wondering if this is normal. He is very verbal for a 2 yr old boy, so with this poop he told us right away that there was an owie in his pants we couldn't see. I always worry that with every exposure he will be so much worse...
  7. Oh, thank you! For some reason i thought the reaction would take a lot longer, but he grabbed a bag of chips that had been in a bag with wheat bread, then took a sip of my water that i had been drinking while eating the wheat bread. I am sure that was it! Since it was only 5hrs or so i thought it was something else. But that would explain it! what...
  8. My son is 2.5, he has Celiac, his reactions are atypical according to the GI, his poop turns white/grey and it looks and smells EXACTLY like vomit. He used to vomit when he was younger, but now it is just the poop and irritability. Anyway, I am concerned that even though he has been diagnosed via biopsy that something else is happening. I just really...
  9. Hydrolyzed whey protein, assuming she is not allergic. DS's naturopath swears by it to heal the gut.
  10. We have a supposed great outback in our town, but my son has been glutened twice in the last few months. Right now he has gigantic red, bleeding blisters on his butt and has been sick to his stomach and had a stomach ache for two days. I am livid!!! I want to give a warning that even in a restaurant that has a extensive gluten free menu and advertises...
  11. I am just wondering if the blue diamond nut thins are safe, has anyone's children had reactions?
  12. I saw your post the other day and was going to respond but thought you had already had the appointment, anyway i was going to tell you how outrageously frustrating the nutritionist was that i took my son to. I mean she was clueless, obviously had NEVER been around or cooked for kids and boy was it a waste of my time and money (insurance didn't cover it)...
  13. My short answer is yes, we had my 13 mo go through a biopsy. He was off gluten at 6mo, but his pediatrician guilted me into adding gluten back to his diet at his 12 mo appointment, with in three days he was very ill and loosing weight we immediately pulled the gluten and things seemed to get better and then one day he got very ill again, vomiting, bloated...
  14. I wouldn't and don't take my son to any of those places, touching anything that has gluten on it then putting his hand or a piece of food in his mouth is enough to make him sick, I stay safe and stay away from kid places that allow food. We do have some fun places around that don't allow food on equipment and i just wash his hands after he plays.
  15. My son at 1yr tested negative for the antibody and positive for only one gene marker. He continued to have symptoms and after a horrible reaction we decided to do an immediate biopsy (his ped GI was concerned as well and admitted us for the biopsy) they did find severe gastritis and bleeding, severe damage to his small intestine diagnosed as Celiac, and...
