  1. Happy birthday and may God bless you today!

  2. I also order gluten free foods when I'm out with my son. Especially since he doesn't eat that much yet anyways and it wouldn't be worth ordering a meal for him, so I just share with him. But I will later also still order gluten free just so I don't have to worry about anything gluteny touching his plate/food.
  3. OMG that is so exciting. Woohoo, I can't wait to check out our store here, although I'm sure it will take a couple of weeks, lol.
  4. Yesterday we were making microwave popcorn and as Jonathan poured the finished popcorn in the bowl one upopped kernel fell down and right into Owen's sleeve. He right away started screaming and we took his sweater off to check but couldn't see anything at first. Went to the bathroom to run some cold water over it and within minutes he had a blister on his...
  5. That is good to know. Thank you so much for the information.
  6. Asthma and hayfever do run in our family. I myself suffer from both and also food allergies. I printed out some articles and will take it to his ped at his check-up and will request that they check the slides that are left from his scope last year. If they can't do it they can send them somewhere else do get it done.
  7. This is interesting, makes me wonder if my son could have it. He also tested negative for celiac but has both genes. And he definitly tolerates foods better since taking Zyrtec every day. I guess I will have to discuss this with his doctor, although all allergy testing came back negative.
  8. I agree with the other posters. I would not put her back on gluten. We just went through this last year with my son. He was on gluten for a good 7 months and yet we got all negative results, even though he had many symptoms return after he was gluten free before. I wouldn't put him through this again, we did Enterolab testing and it came back positive for...
  9. Those pics look exactly like the flare my son just had not to long ago. He did however get glutened and that was his reaction. We had to use prescription creams, aquaphor, cetaphil and bleach bath to finally get it under control. The redness is now completely gone but his skin is still bumpy and not smooth.
  10. Yes, it's Diego. He absolutely loves him and saw a cake a couple of days ago. He hasn't stopped talking about it and wanted him on the cake today
  11. Happy Valentine's Day everybody. I decided to make a chocolate cake from Bobs Red Mill, never tried it before as I usually make things from scratch. I made the cream cheese frosting from scratch though. As you can tell by the cake, some little boy made the choice as to what he wanted on it, lol. Here are some pics of it. http://s12.photobucket.com...
  12. My son reacts to different foods and all allergy testing came back negative. The best way to test is to do a food trial, leave the food away for a while and then introduce one thing at a time every 7 days. That way you can make sure what she is reacting to. We are gluten, soy and nut free but also have restricted his diet from corn, tangerines, blueberries...
  13. With those blood results I would also skip the biopsy and start the diet right away. We went through all the testing and my son suffered so much and still had negative results for both bloodwork and biopsies. Yet his response to gluten free was so great that I really don't need prove via biopsy. I also agree with taking out soy and dairy for a while. My...
  14. Since October Owen has put on about 2lbs and grew 1.5 inches . He has more energy then ever and has no problems walking from and to Jonathan's school (before I always had to carry him most of the way). He sleeps well and through the night and also doesn't take 3-4 hour naps anymore, now they are more 1-2 hours long. You guys he looks awesome and he feels...
  15. I use the Shiff Children's chewable Vitamins for my son. I like the fact that you can give them one and don't have to cut them in half. Once they are 4 and older they can just eat 2. He really likes them and he doesn't have an issue with them. He is alsmost 3yrs now and we started those about 4-5 months ago.
  16. I had my son tested through Enterolab as well after his bloodwork and biopsies came back negative. Turns out that he has both celiac genes, that in combination with his great dietary response is enough proof to me.
  17. Owen reacts to gluten, soy, tangerines, blueberries, corn and I'm sure there are more that we haven't figured out yet. We had him strictly dairy free for quite some time but he now does fine with small amounts of cheese and yogurt. I won't give him milk though as he does vomit after a couple of days on it.
  18. I agree to give it at least a month to see if things improve. My sons stools improved within about a week, they weren't perfect but a lot better. He would also get the diaper rash that bled when we wouldn't change him the second he went. It was horrible to see him in pain like that. His eczema took a while to get rid of but as long as we keep him off foods...
  19. Enterolab had received our specimen on the 3rd of December and by the 20th we had our results. That was for the gene testing and soy sensitivity. Last year we ordered the gluten and casein sensitivity test and it took about 2 weeks.
  20. The Fries and Hashbrowns are not gluten free at McDonalds. On their website it states that they contain wheat.
  21. I am German as well, lol. The McDonalds we go to over here has a dedicated fryer for the french fries. It's usually the smaller McDonalds over here in Germany that don't have enough room for an extra fryer that fry things in the same oil.
  22. We are currently in Germany and their french fries do not contain wheat. It's weird how different the fast food chains are around the world.
  23. Before going gluten free my son didn't vomit. But now that he is gluten free and has been since October again he does. In the past couple of weeks he had a couple of incidences, dh gave him something to eat he wasn't sure of. The next morning my son vomitted one time and than was fine. The weekend after we had some new dish and the ingredients looked safe...
  24. I absolutely agree on this one. I just kind of gave the doctor a look of disbelieve.
  25. I hear your frustration, we just went through the same thing with my son. He was off gluten for 5 months last year, he did great, growing and gaining weight, and almost all of his symptoms disappeared. Then we put him back on it for a gluten challenge and not even 24hrs later he had loose stools, not long after he started with rashes again and last but...
