    ARCHIVED Taco Bell

Their ground beef might contain oats (and I think their hard shell corn tortillas might too, or at least they are made using shared fryers for flour items), but these Cantinas tacos are made with steak, chicken or pulled pork. So I'm pretty sure they aren't adding oats to these. Even on their website, they have a symbol if items are made on shared equipment...

    ARCHIVED Taco Bell

I just tried their Cantinas Steak tacos today and they were pretty good! Corn tortillas, grilled steak, onions, cilantro and even a wedge of lime. Pretty much like an authentic Mexican soft taco- definitely the most authentic thing on Taco Bell's menu now! Next I'll try the carnitas! It is nice to have this as an option.
  3. Yes- very possible. I was very sick from the time i was 1 1/2 until I was 4 years old. My parents had me on an elimination diet- last thing to re-introduce was gluten. I was never officially diagnosed with Celiac back then as my parents opted to not have invasive testing done. I was then "seemingly" fine until I was 30 years old. After the birth of my...
  4. Thank you- Riceguy- I'm thinking it must be a spoiled or rancid flour in the mix. Yes, it is stumping to me because it is not in every batch of each item that I buy and the ingredients are not changing. I guess it is possible that it is the teff in the wraps and some other flour in the bread products- it could produce the same off taste. Or else it is...
  5. Thank you for your responses! 1) Definitely not garlic- I am a garlic lover and actually made my yucky tasting bread into garlic bread to try and mask the taste! 2) I couldn't find many ingredients that overlapped between products other than rice flour, tapioca starch, potato starch, cornstarch and baking powder. So, not not a pea/bean flour- which...
  6. I've been gluten free for over 3 years now so have had a chance to try lots of different gluten free foods. There are some foods that have an off taste to them (it actually repulses me)- it is hard to explain but the best I can do is say that it tastes like that bad taste you get in the back of your mouth, like bad breath, after sleeping or if you have a...
  7. I am curious if you have started your challenge yet? I am in a similar situation as you...I was diagnosed Celiac after the birth of my first son (was breastfeeding at the time). Did not have an endoscopy only borderline positive blood work results for diagnosis. I have now been gluten free for over 3 years and have a second son who is 9 months old (I only...
  8. As long as you follow a strict gluten free diet and have your vitamin levels in check you should have a normal pregnancy. Of course there are normal pregnancies that end in miscarriage, but it wouldn't have anything to do with having Celiac Disease, it could be caused by any number of other things. When I was pregnant with my second child (after I was...
  9. Happy birthday and may God bless you today!

  10. I'm pretty sure they are- A gluten free bakery in our area (Silly Yak Bakery and Bread Barn) makes a turtle cheesecake and there are Rolo's in it. I doubt they would use anything that wasn't verifiably gluten-free!
  11. Florida's Natural fruit snacks are clearly labeled gluten free. The sour straws are really good!
  12. So we just got a HuHot Mongolian Grill in our area (Madison, WI). Here is what they have listed on their website regarding allergies- "At HuHot, we are concerned about our customers
  13. :D AWESOME- Can't wait until June!!!
  14. Durkee's dry mix is gluten free and is good (probably about the same as McCormick because they are the same company.
  15. I just tried Uno's gluten-free pizza for the first time today in Madison, WI. It was a pretty good experience. I was surprised at how big the pizza was- probably about 10"-11"! However, I thought it was a little undercooked, it was soggy in parts and the crust crumbled apart (it could not be picked up). However it tasted good and it was nice to be able...
