Dear pinky, Keep in mind that even if you do not feel it, your poor villi do! Imagine those poor little things screaming in your intestines, as they are hit with particles of gluten! How sad is this? These poor, innocent beings are destroyed! There is good news! Gluten-free pinky can save them! I have gotten to the point I am actually...

ARCHIVED Omg...i Might Be On To Something
NoGluGirl replied to Rachel--24's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Dear Donna, Eating definitely can mess up sleeping. It varies upon what you eat before going to bed. If you eat chocolate, it will give you strange dreams, or you will be hyped up and cannot sleep. The turkey will only make you sleepy if you eat more than four ounces of it. At least, that is what I read. My doctor mentioned my adrenals... -

Dear Rachel, I do not know if I could tolerate chlorella. Plus, what if mine is trapped like yours? I do not have any way of knowing. Is it better not to do anything until you know? Or should you try stuff out? I do not want to cause more harm. Sincerely, Jin -
Dear Sandi, Thank you for the site! Welcome to the forum! Now, here is a present for you! I have a list that should really help. This is overwhelming. I went through this with myself eleven months ago. You spend most of your day cooking and cleaning obsessively. The rest you are on the phone with reps from companies trying to find out what is...

Dear pinky, I get violently ill from even the most microscopic speck of gluten that you cannot even see. Cheating is not tempting at all. Like Hez and gfpaperdoll, I view it as poison. If you do not get such a bad reaction, it makes it easier to cheat. I suppose that is one reason I am lucky to have such a bad reaction. It is horribly unpleasant...

Dear Lajet, I have eaten blueberries, raspberries, and others with no ill effects. You will want to be careful though, because if you eat too many, they will hurt you. The seeds are hard to digest. They are wonderful additions to things this time of year! Enjoy them! Dear kenlove, I had no idea! I have never heard of those seeds...

Dear Justine, Welcome to the forum! I have a little present for you! I have a list that should really help. This is overwhelming. I went through this with myself eleven months ago. You spend most of your day cooking and cleaning obsessively. The rest you are on the phone with reps from companies trying to find out what is safe. I decided to... -

Dear tom, Where are you now? I assume still in SJ. You are probably at the Jazz Fest about now. Isn't that all weekend? I bet it is nice! Dear Rachel, I hope the LED worked and got rid of the sulfates for you. I know those have been complicating things. Your pathways are still blocked, aren't they? I know that is making your... -

Dear Donna, I am glad you enjoyed the meeting! I knew it would be great! The pic is nice! You guys all look wonderful! Maybe next time more of us can hangout! It is good to hear you do not get that passing out feeling anymore. What changed? Did you begin taking herbs or what? Or was it supplements of some kind that... -
Dear Lajet, I know what you mean! Cookies had always been my thing, as well as chocolate candies. Having an overgrowth of yeast makes me crave it more. I have low blood sugar, which makes it extremely problematic. I am glad your cravings have diminished. I am not as bad as I was. For a while, I could eat half a pie in a sitting, two doughnuts...

NoGluGirl replied to Rachel--24's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Dear Rachel, I agree that you normally have to do a lot more than one type of treatment for detox if you have already become ill. If you catch it before problems appear, then the LED may be all that is needed. Like you said, it varies from person to person. No one will need the exact same treatment. I am just happy to hear you are getting... -

Dear Donna, I wondered if anyone else saw that on CNN! I was so glad they finally talked about it. Dr. Gupta seems to be more aware of such things. Why can't there be more doctors like him? Dubya seems to have gotten lucky that they found the rash. I always have the television on. I do not sleep very well without it! I do not... -
ARCHIVED Anyone Else Feel Addicted To Sugar And Flour?
NoGluGirl replied to Cris's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Dear Barbara, It really is scary how foods can be addictive! Gluten does terrible things to us, and despite that, while we were eating it, we were addicted. This is not uncommon. You are often addicted to what you are allergic to. How is that for irony? Have you ever noticed how much irony sucks? Dear Kassandra, Yeast... -

Dear Patti, I just knew you would love this! Dean Martin was a favorite of mine, between his "That's Amore" and "Mambo Italiano", I tell you! You just had to love it! I also love some other old Italian classic styles. Have you ever heard Dominic Chianese from "The Sopranos" sing? He is wonderful! What a wonderful memory! ... -

Dear Claire, I am sorry to hear SJ is not Celiac friendly. I hope you were not exposed to any gluten through cc or anything. That would be bad! Whenever I end up traveling, I will stay in a hotel with a kitchen! I would rather make my own meals than have to play gluten Russian Roulette! Dear Judy, Hello back! Did you... -
Dear Lajet, You are so welcome! I know what it is like! When I first went gluten-free last year, I spent half of the day on the phone with manufacturers, the other half obsessively cleaning and cooking. You just cannot keep that up! Guacamole is not difficult to make, but most of us never knew how to make it, because we were so used to buying...

Dear dadoffiveboys, Welcome to the thread! I am sure tom could use some male company around here. Charlie probably will not mind, either! The more the merrier! I found what you posted about xanthan gum particularly interesting. I am wondering if I have some bacterial dysbiosis. I discovered recently that drinking... -

ARCHIVED Anyone Else Feel Addicted To Sugar And Flour?
NoGluGirl replied to Cris's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Dear Cris, Sugar is very addictive! I am addicted to it for another reason. I have a systemic overgrowth of yeast on top of Celiac. It can cause mood swings, headaches, weight gain or loss, sinus problems, ringing in the ears, anxiety, depression, and so much more. The yeast causes me to want sugar, and makes my blood sugar low. You see, the... -

Dear Donna, Jazzy was a small but mighty dog, too! She really could get mean when she wanted to! I would do an Australian accent like Steve Irwin, and call her Taz-O. She would wiggle her tail. It was so funny! Jasmine might have been only fifteen inches high, but she would have died for me. Schnauzers are like that. Tasha Bear... -

Dear Kat, OMG! That is so hilarious that you just taped your wedding on the VCR! Even better is, no shaky video! There is something else you will not have to pay for! I say why not? A lot of people are having the reception after the honeymoon now. I think that may be what I might do whenever I get married. I am glad you are doing... -
Dear Bravie, Are you sure we are not siblings? It sure seems like we have the same parents. Zero support definitely makes this hard. However, our parents probably have us this disease. So, at least one of them probably has it. They refuse to accept this, and if they want to have Diabetes, Cancer, and all of the other problems Celiac causes...

Dear Mia, I like sports as well! You are not alone! I used to collect baseball cards as a kid! My favorite team will always be the Yankees, because Donnie Baseball is from my home town! He used to have a restaurant here called Mattingly's, but it closed due to financial difficulties. Dear Donna, I am sorry to hear you... -
ARCHIVED When Does This Get Better?
NoGluGirl replied to someday's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Dear Rachel, The yeast problem is something I have as well. When you have a systemic yeast infection, it will make you feel very bad. It can cause so many problems! I have been gluten-free nearly a year now. I am so glad that you found us! This forum will make life a lot easier! I have a little present for you to welcome you... -
Dear Bravie, I know exactly how you feel! My parents are the same way! I am stuck at home from still being sick, because I may have other things on top of Celiac, like Lyme. They complain I should go out and get a job, but refuse to be careful with crumbs! Sharing a kitchen has gotten me glutened on many occaisions. I have a very violent reaction...
