  1. Thanks but they aren't in NYC. We think alike - when I saw in the online circular that they were on sale I brought a cooler along to carry them home but my cooler came home unfulfilled.
  2. In April I purchased the Frozen Fudge Bars in Pathmark because I noticed that they were Gluten Free (I even mentioned it on this board) and now today I was there and they are in a newly designed box - and - guess what? Now they contain WHEAT! Why? Why? Why? There was no need to change it - it was satisfying and low fat and Gluten Free! I know that...
  3. Pathmark has Fat-Free Fudgesicles which are also Gluten Free and they're great!
  4. This is the link https://www.celiac.com/st_prod.html?p_prodid=1466
  5. It said to include the juice. I'm not a novice at baking and I thought that it needed some sort of oil but it was supposed to be those ingredients.
  6. I got this recipe from this site and it didn't bake right. Is something missing? It was 2 cups of Gluten Free Flour 2 cups of Sugar 2 eggs 3 Tsp. baking soda 20 oz. crushed pineapple 40 minutes at 350 It didn't bake through - it's mushy.
  7. I know they aren't the healthiest snacks but I love carmel popcorn and I know that carmel is a questionable product. Does anyone know if any or all of these are gluten free? Thanks!
  8. Thanks - that's what I wanted to know!
  9. FIrst, a huge thank you to those who said that Tinkiyada Spaghetti tasted great - it really does and I had truly "real" tasting spaghetti for the first time in years! I've got a question, though. If I cook it normally and then bake it in my sauce for a short time (30 minutes) will the spaghetti stay firm and if I refrigerate it after baking will it still...
  10. Thanks for the recipes! What exactly is Almond Meal? Is it just ground almonds? I've never seen it. I am strictly kosher and gluten-free (this will be my second Pesach). Last year I discovered gluten-free Gefilte fish - Kedem has it and Rokeach (2 varieties) and it is also egg-free for those who need that. It really wasn't bad. Also Manishewitz has...
  11. It was just on the news in NY that wheat gluten appears to be the cauce of animals dying from "bad" pet food. I'm not sure how or why the gluten was poison for the animals.
  12. Pathmark has some and I guess any big supermarket but watch out - I wasn't paying attention and I bought Chocolate Almond and they've got Matzoh Meal!
  13. Manischewitz has all of these Macaroons according to their site that are Gluten Free for Passover - Cappaccino Chip Macaroons Chocolate Chip Macaroons Chocolate Chunk Cherry Macaroons Chocolate Macaroons Cinnamon Raisin Macaroons Coconut Macaroons Coffee Flavored Macaroons Dark Chocoate Covered Macaroons Banana Split Macaroons Toffee Crunch Macaroons...
  14. I just remembered - Kedem is Gluten Free and Egg Free and has 2 varieties but there is also another brand which is both also.
  15. I bought it in Pathmark but it was also available in Brooklyn. I don't remember the brand but there were two of the major ones - Rokeach or Manishewitz and each had two varieties (one was "Gourmet"). I feel so dumb because last year was the second year I bought it and BOTH TIMES I forgot to write down the name of which one was the best! They really aren...
  16. The stores already are selling Passover products and for those who don't know - most of what is sold has no wheat, corn or rice. As I mentioned once before, Manishewitz has a complete line of Gluten Free products and on their site there is a complete list. BUT - you need to be careful - if it has Matzoh Meal or Cake Meal that is from wheat. Almost all...
  17. I'm not sure why but even though I measure exactly it seems as though there is too much margerine - it isn't crumbly, it's almost doughy.
  18. So you use just the rice flour - not the flour mix of rice flour, corn starch and tapioca flour?
  19. Does anyone know a recipe for a Crumb Topping for a pie that has big, crumbly crumbs using the flour mix? No oats please. All of the recipes I've got don't come out right - they get hard. I know that it's just about the right proportion of flour, sugar and margerine (or butter). Thanks!
  20. I called McCormacks and they said that all of their extracts are gluten-free. THey will note on the package if it isn't.
  21. The filling is similar but I use Rokeach or Manishewitz Tomato Mushroom Sauce and add a small amount of sugar and lemon juice to that and add a couple of sliced apples and raisins into the sauce in the pot and let it simmer. Gives it a great taste.
  22. I get them at Whole Foods.
  23. I saw the cinnamon-raisin bread and did exactly what you did! But I didn't buy it - I bought the bages instead. Is the bread ok if you don't toast it? I really want a bread that doesn't need toasting but that tastes real.
  24. Is Chocolate Marshmallow Ice Cream gluten-free? Specifically, Pathmark Brand. Is there any specific ingredient to watch out for? Also, are there any toppings (caramel or butterscotch) that are ok? Thanks!
