    Uh...where to start. Well, if your mom has it then there is a 50/50 chance that you do. The genetic testing (I did mine through Prometheus) is about $400 but all that will tell you is if you have the genes.     That is such a drag- I love them. Enjoy Life has bars (I like the Caramel Apple best) that have no major allergens. They're not rice crispy treat-like but not bad.

    Oh Nick!!! Thank you so much! Bellini's in North Conway has great pizza! If you go to the Cape BZ's in Dennisport, between Yarmouth and Harwich, right off route 28, has the BEST gluten-free pizza I have ever had! I'm excited to hear about Marco's in the North end having gluten-free. I miss Flatbread Pizza!

    I think it's individual- I WILL eat something processed in the same factory but not shared equipment. I'm too sensitive.

    It definitely takes a long time to heal- your body could be getting rid of toxins (since gluten was toxic to you). I remember someone saying it took them 2 years to fully recover.     It's frustrating because celiac (and other autoimmune disorders like lupus and RA) share many same symptoms. I just wanted to back up that to truly rule out the Lyme, you should have the Igenix testing. I sincerely hope that it turns out to be NONE of these and just a fluke!

    YIPPEE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thinking of you Ptaum! Need apple toffee cake and to have ALL you guys over for tea. TOOT SWEET! Very, very sad day.     I also was diagnosed by IgG and positive response to the diet. I later found out I had one of the genes as well (HLA DQ8).
