  1. Chile sounds good! Easiest fall recipe I can think of- Apple crisp! Apple crisp: For apple crisp, all I do is cut up some apples (enough for the people you are serving) and sprinkle sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg on them and place them in a baking pan. Then for the top, I take a stick of butter and a cup of rice flour (more if your crisp is bigger) in a seperate...
  2. Uncle ray has a birthday joke for you! Always get a Second Opinion Second Opinion! The doctor said, 'Joe, the good news is I can cure your headaches. 12. I'll add what other moderators have. You can challenge someone's facts, ask them to back them up, show research, disagree with their opinions. But, attacking a poster is not OK. This is an important topic and there's no reason why a civil discussion can't ensue.

  18. The only place I have had sores was the ear- they were maddening- itchy painful and horrid. They usually precipitated an ear infection. After going gluten-free three years ago, they went away completely over time. I had a flare about two weeks ago (and it was after I had gotten glutened). Hope you find some answers and relief!

  21. I'm so so so sorry- I had mono as a child (and now have Lyme) so I know how horrid the pain and fatigue are. Sleep- that's what your body wants and needs. I remember being so weak I couldn't get to the bathroom by myself. Get as much chicken broth, soup and liquids into yourself as possible. If you get dehydrated you'll feel even worse. The good news is...
  22. Welcome to the board. Your husband sounds so much like me- I lost 80 pounds and was constantly nauseous and vomiting. It took awhile for my intestines to heal. There is a lot of good advice on this board. One thing that I think helped my gut to heal was a supplement called Intestinew (i got it at a local health food store). Also, lots of probiotics. ...
  23. Just because the doctor/tests say you're fine doesn't mean you feel fine. You might not have celiac and be gluten intolerant, or they might not have found the damage. My PCP told me, after my biopsy came back negative but I felt much better on the diet that no test is 100% accurate all the time. Try going gluten-free and see if it eases your symptoms....
  24. I'm wondering if it's the sugar. Have you asked her doctor? If they give her diarrhea, she may be intolerant to them now but after she heals, they may be fine.
  25. I got the sample too and threw it out because I was annoyed that it claimed that gluten-free meant less than 10 ppm.
