  1. My son is a red head. Since finding out about it I have meet people who have celiac and a good portion of the are red heads. So is my mother and niece who both have signs. It seems odd. Oh and the owner of the bakery I went to was a red head as well.
  2. My mom was diagnosed 11 years ago, but misdiagnosed for 10 years before that. Hers is very advanced. I have prayed everyday for something to help her. She is on so many drugs including shots. She has so many signs of celiac, we've been told were side effects of the drugs. It really has me wondering! I hope they are really going to give this a shot. ...
  3. Minnesotan here. I am from the twin cities area. I am also very new to the board. This will be my 5th day gluten-free. I am doing this for my ds who is breastfeeding. He has the intolerance. But I am finding that I feel amazingly better myself. Glad to know I am not alone
  4. I want to thank you all again. You have made my switch much easier. You are all so kind. I wrote a novel on the family board, I won't do that again. But I do want to tell you how much you've helped. The change in my son is amazing and the difference in me is shocking to say the least. I wish I'd know about this years ago.
  5. I can't believe how nice everyone here is. I have posted other place and it just doesn't seem active. Here is our progress so far. We figured out why he got his rash back the last few days, cheese! I didn't have the wrapper anymore but thought it was safe because it was brick, I went to my mother's last night and went through all her food. ( After reading...
  6. Thank you for the compliment. He was three weeks old there. He is three months now. Time flies.. I am going to look for the pasta. We tried some last night. It was ok. Not great, but I could get use to it. Dh even ate it. I picked up Living gluten-free for dummies yesterday. Stayed up until one reading it. I am still a little lost. Oh and Rook's rash is...
  7. It's nice meeting so many ppl here. This already has been so much help. In ours (fruit cocktail) there is only peaches, pears and cherries. DD can't have pineapple? I wonder what caused it?
  8. Rook (my ds) has been doing great for the last three day being gluten-free through me breastfeeding. Tonight he seems much worse again. With dinner we had fruit cocktail, every thing else I know was gluten-free because it was labeled. So could it be fruit cocktail?
  9. Thank you all so much for your replies. They really helped. I went to TCA's list. And took many notes. On the back of a guide to shopping I found on the net. I also went to day to the book store and got Living Gluten Free for dummies. I am set to read it tonight. And tonight we get the gluten free pasta. Wasn't bad at all. Kinda taste corning. But not bad...
  10. Hello, My name is Addie. I have a 3 month old who we now believe has a wheat intolerance. He has not been tested it was more a trail and error thing. He has been super fussy and has awful gas. He also has had a rash on his face, arms and legs since he was about a month old. I was told the dry skin was because of the dry air in our home. So we lube him up...
  11. Thank you both so much. I will check out the forum thanks a bunch.
  12. My ds is three months old. He has been very fussy and has so much gas. He also has a rash on his face, arms and legs. He is breastfeed as well. We were told that I should try cutting out eggs, dairy. It didn't help. My mom saw something on the boob tube about wheat intolerance. So after much reading and talking to his doctor (who told me to just put...
