  1. Here is another tip. Rinsing with Mylanta. My friend of mine would mix Mylanta and benadryl and swish it around. I know if I have had something with gluten, because the mouth sores would appear.
  2. When I was 18 back in 1985, I was diagnosed with endometriosis. I had 6 laps, one baby (1991), and a total hyst (1999). Sometimes I feel that if I had know about the celiac, which was not diagnosed until after the hyst, I would have been better off. It took about three years to get pregnant and I am greatful that I was able to. sometimes I felt like it...
  3. I didnt think there was anyone out there that felt the same way that I do. Just like you this started with me when I was a child. I am going to be getting married in July and I am mortified at the thought that my husband is going to hear me in the bathroom. He is not shy about anything that has to do with bodily sounds and often jokes about himself. I...
  4. Thanks everyone for your help and suggestions. It is so hard when first you are told no gluten and adjusting your diet to that, then told to cut back on meat, then told no more dairy, now I have to limit my sugar. I feel like I am down to fish, chicken, and veggies, oh and nuts. I checked out the ADA and there were lots of good suggestions. Thanks again...
  5. Hi everyone, I had a dr appt today for a physical. Dr. told me that my cholestorol was 201, and that I was borderline diabetic that result was 110. I have been gluten free since 1999 and I still do not feel that good. I still have problems with the big D, not as much as before, but its still there. I still have problems with gas, that has not changed...
  6. I almost forgot about CC!!!! I asked the baker, he stated since it would be a small cake he would be willing to use new baking sheets for the cake. Now, I'll have to look for a baker in Ft Lauderdale. More than likely I will make my own small cake. I love the idea of having smaller cakes at the table, that would be perfect!!!! I would call all...
  7. Congrats....I am also planning my wedding. Flying to Florida for it. I am planning on making my own cake and having a friend of mine decorate it. There will be another wedding cake for the other guests. I have been trying different cake mixes to see which one works better. The baker where I live was willing to bake a cake for me with gluten free ingredients...
  8. Thanks so much for the replies, it means so much to me. This site is great. Reading all the other questions and answers from all of you have helped me so much. I have definately learned that we have to be our own advocates with our health and our lives. No one else can understand unless they are going through the same road. Thanks everyone.
  9. Hi everyone, How do you all do it to live a normal life? I am having a hard time keeping a job because I am always "sick". The big "D" has gotten in the way so much, my self esteem has gone down the drain. It seems I cant eat anything but fruits, veggies, and fish. No meat, high cholest., no dairy, lactose, no soy, intolerant, and obviously no gluten...
  10. I am new to this site, and I have been reading lots and have rec. lots of great info. I was reading up on the osteo. Has anyone here ever taken Miacalcin nasal spray (calcitonin-salmon) for thier osteo? I also have been told my parathyroid levels were off. I was diag. with ceilac sprue in 1999 and have been gluten free since then. I am still having problems...
  11. I once bought 2 boxes of cereal, one gluten free and one wheat, same brand. Ate a full bowl of...you guessed it, the wheat cereal. Talk about panic...sick for weeks. DoriG
