I have both celiac and epilepsy also, but they are also unrelated. I was born having seizures, and had a febrile seizure when I was two, but the epilepsy did not begin to develop in earnest until I was a teenager. I am interested in what type of seizures you have. Ed

Mine started right after I began taking solid food -- when I was about nine months or so. Even though I I had a good appetite, I lost weight and didn't grow much at all. After a year or so, my parents took my to my pediatrician, fearing the worst. So was my pediatrician, who didn't want to give a prognosis of death. He did manage to hear of celiac, however... -

Pat, Manchester is in Carroll County, about 12 miles away from the PA border. I don't know much about Virginia, but I do know of a Whole Foods in Baltimore. That place is great.

Luda, did you ever try LaChoy? It has no wheat. I also know that there is a wheat free brand sold online in the Gluten Free mall and Miss Robens. Ed

Hi Luda, nice to meet you. I do understand how you feel. Except for a pediatrician (long ago) who heard of celiac and was hoping whatever I had wouldn't kill me, I learned everything on my own and through relatives. I was still ignorant of how this thing affects me as of about eight years ago. Ed

Hello, I am from Maryland and have had celiac all my life. I've been to this site before but haven't posted much. I'm looking to chat with others with similar experiences and to get a different outlook on things. Thanks.
